Catless Header & Tune @ Dealership

Alright, so I eventually ended up getting Headers/Tune with an OFT.

I ended up googling something along the lines of

"UEL Catless Stock Flash Dealership Visit" and stuff like that but to no avail.

My problem is this.

So you need to tune out the CEL when you get a Catless Header.

Now, if I'm going to a dealership and need to flash back to stock, wouldn't the CEL come back on if I flash back to stock? Or should I just wipe the CEL code at the lot at the dealership?

I don't think you need to flash to stock when going to a dealership so long as whatever work they're doing has nothing to do with the powertrain. it'll also be pretty obvious that you aren't stock the instant they turn your car on. I certainly didn't bother flashing to stock when I last went to a dealership

Unless they plan on doing warranty work or diagnose an issue don't worry about flashing back to stock. For maintenance/tune-ups you're fine.

If you plan to have them diagnose a seperate CEL or engine issue or anything power-train related or even an interior rattle or infotainment issue, play it safe, put the stock header on and flash back to stock.

I got rid of my stock header.

Go back to stock for an Infotainment system diag? Why waste your time?

If you haven't noticed some dealers are incredibly difficult to deal with and will find the first thing to blame a failure on and void a warranty
