some of my customers are from SCIC impreza club. when i told them i am getting a BRZ, they all tried hard to convince me to get new wrx instead. i think some hardcore subaru fans believe all subaru should be all wheel drive.

Everyone has their own taste but that's almost a completely different scene I'd say. Slight camber can look very nice but the ones who are cambered so much it looks broken are usually the ones I never fully understand.

I don't get it. I didn't buy an Impreza. Why would I expect them to act like we're in a club together?

Do Impreza guys wave at lesbians in Foresters?

Impreza L owners adore us.
Impreza RS owners like us.
Impreza WRX owners tolerate us.
Impreza WRX STI owners look down on us.

True

Anything lowered beyond the outline of the tire + 1cm/2cm looks retarded to me

Yeah the WRX STi guys are real jealous...

You're the "gorgeous" step-sister if the step sister is fat and slow

Exactly! I can't stand seeing it so low that the tires don't look circular anymore.

LOL. Thin skin in this thread. Been driving, owning, building Subies since 2001.

Its a Subaru, not a Corvette. Most Subaru owners dont wave to each other or acknowledge the other car at all. If they are a forum member, they might look for the exact same model. WRX/WRX, LGT/LGT, STi/STi. But waving to other Subaru owners is not what makes a Subaru a Subaru.

Take no offense. None is meant. But there is nothing more to it. If you get a head nod, you got all you can expect.

Owned a twin before my Sti...

Loved having a twin and every time I see one on the road I'm jealous about how sexy they look compared to the '15 sti.

However, I rarely wave because WRX/BRZ/FRS aren't exactly "rare" cars.

I wave at other twins whenever I see one, which is rare here, and pretty much never get one back. WRXs are everywhere and they dont ever wave back to me either....maybe it's just me?

I've received two waves from WRX drivers with ownership of the car since May. On both occasions, there just simply wasn't enough reaction time on my end for my wave to actually count.

I think this could be a huge factor, just not enough time. Drivers might be just paying attention to the road.

Maybe I should specify.
I don't wave to grandma in her Tribeca. When I see a lowered car on aftermarket wheels, I'll give a wave.
@Zozr WRX/STI are fat, and not that fast

For the record I'm not really a "Subaru guy". I Just happen to have a Subie. Whenever I'm in my Civic wagon every single person I encounter in a modified EF will give a wave back.
Maybe I'm just too nice since I'm Canadian
