Insurance quote

Hi there,

Just wondering what will everyone be quoted for insurance?
I am 27 years old with clean record, was quoted $1059.00 per year for the FRS for full coverage. I was unable to get a quote for the BRZ yet as they said it wasnt updated on their system yet. How about you guys?

Those of you in Quebec, I highly suggest Wawanesa.

http://wawanesa.com/index.html

They cover, Oregon and CA and are my current policy. I just called to get a quote and even though they mentioned (subject to change), they quoted me $786/year for full coverage.

I guess I should have got an insurance quote before I put my deposit down... lol.

Is full coverage a standard coverage? Or is there more specifics to it?

Lol Beneale..WHEN in Canada are you ?

Insurance for the year, on my 2011 WRX< with $500 deductibles and a million liability is about $2100 per year...AFTER a 40% discount... My 06 sti was similar , my G37 was a little more( 2,300 to 2,400), same with my Z. Overall most my cars have been in the low 2xxx range.

I think with non government(private) controlled insurance Like Ontario, Alberta, etc. , your insurance can easily go through the roof with a bad history or being a younger age...but, you being 27 and having a clean record, you are a safer bet. You're likely at the point where your premiums are under OUR government insurance rates.

I have wanted to go check insurance quotes for BOTH cars, but have been putting it off,i've also been assuming ICBC doesn't have it in their systems yet. I will go and check today after work and post my results.

I think that your insurance goes down drastically when you are 25? Pretty sure thats when my insurance was cheaper.

Thats about right, if your under 25 and have not been previously insured your looking at 250+ a month. Best thing to do is put it under your parents and your listed as an occasional driver.

Ontario, especially the GTA, is easily the most expensive place to insure a car.

For the TC and a few Scions (QUEBEC ONLY) we have a guy here who negotiated with us on Scion rates, mention Scion Gabriel, automatically 5% less on SCIONS ONLY (sorry folks)

he's with La Capitale 450 812 5089 his name is Nick and no, I do not get a cent from him whatsoever. WHATSOEVER

I encourage ALL to HEAVILY shop your insurance AGGRESSIVELY, here are the minimal terms you need FROM TOYOTA : DO NOT LET THEM PRICE YOU MORE

under 1000 deductible on theft and damage

1 000 000 civil resp ( DO NOT LET THEM UP IT TO 2 which they almost all do)
replacement insurance ( check with your dealer what he can do and then with the insurance ).

optional worth checking

Sherlock ( don't let them charge more than 299)

most importantly, SHOP SHOP SHOP

Hi,

Tried National bank and they dont have frs or brz in their system so i got a quote with the value of the car... Lets say that its not worth much. I guess i'll have to wait a bit to get a real quote.
