It's not going to hold value like a Supra or RX-7. It's a cheaper car from new like Miata, MR2 or S2000.

I'd trade trunk lids with someone. I wasn't aware of any VIN attachment to the trunk lid...interesting. Do not let someone "fill" the holes with bondo. When I did the spoiler "delete" on my Mustang, I had the holes welded shut. I took the trunk lid off my self and brought it to the body shop without the car. IIRC, it cost about $300 to weld the holes and prep/spray the paint.

I've seen documentaries on autotheft/illegal sale of parts where the cops say there is VINs on most new car parts, engine, trunk, hood, fenders, etc. This way they can tell when cars have been illegal parted and sold. They charnged an individual who had parts installed on his vehicle which he bought from a bodyshop that matched VINs from a reported stolen car. Poor guy, I'm sure he found a way to fight it.

I'd say that pricing is a lot closer to the RSX/Integra and will probably depreciate like it too. It's not like our car is in Type R territory in regards to rarity.

There is, but it has only been out for a couple of months I think - comes with replacment trunk struts and everything to support the added weight of the spoiler:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ght=scion+wing

It's available as an option when I "build" a FR-S on Scion.com (zip code 94015).

Scion calls it a TRD spoiler...

Yes. You should.

Aerodynamics are a non-issue where the FR-S is concerned with its 20mph top speed.
It's nasty and chav.
