Winchester Mystery House - San Jose, CA:

I shot this with the aperture at 1.7, and think the depth of field is working against the shot a bit. I'll head back another day and try shooting at a much narrower aperture to focus more on the details of the house instead of just the car.

EDIT: Here is the wikipedia page on the house:

Saw some cool bone fragments, and lots of dinosaur egg fragments. They also found some troodon teeth later that day.

Now that I'm home I'm looking forward to getting some pics with a clean car and not covered in bugs and dust from a three thousand mile road trip.

I was hoping I'd have the top elevation for a while (11,796 ft), but SkullWorks has me beat by a fair shot.

Another dirt road excursion to the Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry in Utah, well worth the trip down the dirt road. We had to push it a bit (traction control off, of course - I grew up driving on dirt roads) on the way back to the pavement before a huge thunderstorm intersected us - we made it to pavement about a block before the rain hit, and only made it another block before pulling off because the road was no longer visible.

And I think this is the last from the road trip (and this time with a clean car).

Game day at the RioT, before our thumping of the Portland Timbers.

(no accounting for what RSL did in San Jose )

I added a wikipedia link to the landmark photo for the Winchester Mystery House in case anyone was interested in learning more. Hoping to have another shot this weekend at another landmark.

When I was stationed in Monterey and living on Ft. Ord one of my favorite activities was to watch races with my kids at the fence at the top of the corkscrew, especially during the classic car races. Thanks for bringing back memories of great times.
