After reading the OP I got concerned, went to the garage, checked my car. No, nothing ruined. I'll check it again in a couple more years to ensure that the widebody fad did not ruin it at that point. Thanks for the heads up!

I do have a concern regarding the aero aspect, I am sure that Toyota/Subaru wind-tunnel tested the long-ass antenna for earlier model years, so I was wondering if I should switch to the newer model year shark-fin for performance benefits?

Everybody knows switching to the shark fin added 4 horsepower. Not quite as much as a cool flame on the side (6-8hp), but still more than underglow (max 2hp).

Yes, the shark-fin antennae does aid in stability ...... just before lift off ......

Widebody isn't desireable to me at all but if someone like's it so be it. It won't ruin the whole 86 line, just that one car. It is what it is.

Get one, absolutely. One on the hood, roof and trunk. Diverts air from the wheel wells.

Unfortunately by the time I got the sharkfins, the widebody fad has mutated my baby.
I decided to place them strategically araound the grill area for more sucking.

I know you're joking but both the antenna and shark fin probably have the same amount of drag, the magic is in the channeled roof.

What really ruins the flow of the car is putting roof strakes on the rear window. People think it's cool to look like sonic the hedgehog but it completely ruins air going to the spoiler. And if you have a wing forget about it.

bigger tires which could result in better cornering and handling

Also, it's a good way to pick up dudes at the vape shop.

while a widebody kit won't ruin my non-widebody car in any way, I do think that other people's kits look great when done right. Some don't look that great.

I've seen some lowered widened cars that look amazing. Why? Because racecar and there needs be no other reason IMHO.

I don't know if it helps performance, but they look great.

Are there more pictures of that car (without those stupid fins of course)? Can you give a link?

Nevermind, I found it.
