Don't know about these renderings, but about a year ago, there were some CAD drawings leaked. Those were actually the real deal.

It had to have a fat & wide rear because of cooling issues. This car especially has a lot more issues with heating. Some of the standard methods of testing & analysis had to be revised to make the results "green", or else everything would be "red" during review meetings. Pretty much any plastic used under the trunk has a recrystallization temp at about 70 C. Now good luck with trying to maintain < 70 deg at heat-soak conditions!

Wow, 0-60 under 3 sec. Price under $60K and no fake vents. Plus it is a Chevrolet with a 495HP, 470tq NA Chevy engine. I am impressed by this car at this price. I liked the white one.

I am a Toyota fanboi but the big T could learn a lesson from this.

I’m no ones fan boi. That thing looks like a blast.

I think Chevy is one of the few brands I haven’t owned. Let’s see where the prices are at a year in, should be plenty on the market once they realize a walker really doesn’t fit in the back.

I agree with everything you just said BUT, just like the Supra, No Manual option. I'm sure the DCT will be great but that's a deal breaker for me.

Loved that cockpit inspired interior though.

I think the white one looked great because it didn't have that ugly black wing/spoiler.

The car really came together well and the interior is definitely excellent. This will crush the competition in sales.

Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Lotus: "We have the best mid-engined sports cars under $100,000."

GM Performance: "Hold my exhaust."

I have always stated that GM Performance's engineers are second to none and this continues their history of building world beaters at a fraction of the price. GM has re-wrote automotive history again with the C8 and I have put my Supra plans on hold.

Clearly Chevy just won the sports car reveal. Price point below $60k, that is a huge shocker.
