Personally I'd go with Pro-Kit over Sportlines. I've been running Sportlines since Sept. and in my experience the ride is much harsher and the drop is a little too low.

With Sportlines you will have the extra cost of needing Rear Lower Control Arms (LCA's). Those will run you about $200 at least. Then you'll need front camber bolts which are about $20.

With a Pro-Kit it'll save you from purchasing the rear LCA's. Also the ride with a Pro-Kit will not be as harsh...and finally I think the 1" drop provided by the Pro-Kit looks more even than the 1.5" drop from the Sportlines.

Here's a good thread with more pics and info: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26769

I went with SPC Camber Bolts only because I was already getting my rear LCA's from SPC as well.
I've ordered multiple times from FT86 Speed Factory and highly recommend them.

Camber Bolts Here: http://ft86speedfactory.com/spc-camb...front-776.html

If you're going with Sportlines then grab these from FT86 Speed Factory as well (Pro-Kit does not need these):
Rear LCA's Here: http://ft86speedfactory.com/spc-rear...e-kit-891.html

Hope this is what you were looking for.

I love the drop of the sportlines but the added expenses of lca's turn me off. Factor in an alignment and you're looking at around $700 depending on where you shop just for a simple spring swap- and that's swapping the springs and lca's yourself. I'm gonna go with the Hotchkis springs which are a 1" drop like the Pro kit. Add some crash bolts for the front and an alignment and I should be around $350 out the door. No fussing with rear lca's as a 1" drop won't require them. But the drop of the sportlines is still sexier though.

Something else to think about:
If you're not doing the install yourself then be prepared to get charged a little extra for the installer to put on the rear LCA's. So not only to the rear LCA's cost you $208 to purchase, but you'll spend an additional $50-$75 on your installation for them to be installed onto your car.

$258-283 additional just to go with Sportlines. That money could be used for the wheel spacers you're going to want after you lower your car...or better yet....towards some nice wheels with a good offset that will look good with your drop.

Look at all the pics of this BRZ. It's lowered on Eibach's Pro-Kit. Tell me that drop doesn't look perfect for this car!! 1" drop is the way to go IMO...but again, it's all preference. I bought Sportlines because I thought "If I get a Pro-Kit then I'm just going to want it lowered more."
Besides realizing that the car was just too low, I also realized that the ride quality was more important than I originally thought it was.

Yea, not doing the install yourself I'd say your looking close to $900 or more... sportlines, lca's, installation labor, and alignment. Pricey for a 1.4" drop!!! Might as well just go all the way and get coilovers at that point. At least you will save on installation as you'll just have to swap assemblies and don't have to bother with spring compressing.

Wow, that's beautiful. Do you know if those rims are 17" or 18"?

Taken from site:
Other parts added to the stock setup were a performance air filter, an Eibach Spring kit lowering the car by 30mm, a fast road geometry setup and performance friction fast road brake pads. The stock wheels were inner changed with Litchfield Nurburg 18 inch lightweight alloy wheels shod in wider Michelin Supersport tires sizing 225/40/18 all around. The standard size is 215/45/18.

Thanks for all your help, Eric. My original plan was to go with Pro Kits and 18's but then was almost gonna go Sportlines with 17s but looks like I'm back to my original plan.

You can just use the OEM crash bolts. That's what I did. I think they are $15 or something at any Subaru dealership, or a few bucks more at any Scion dealership.

I've had my new lowering springs and wheels on for a little over 4 months now and I found out during my inspection that my front struts are blown. Has anyone else had issues with Eibach pro kit springs giving them problems with OEM struts?

Eibachs are junk. They will sag and blow out your shocks--even Konis, but you already know that. I wish I could tell everyone before they buy. Stay away from H&R too. PSS9s will blow out, I believe they use H&Rs. The products with the most advertising are often the worst. You need a stiff spring from a specialty manufacturer which means you'll have to put up with a hard ride. Neuspeed and ST make great, stiff springs but they don't have BRZ applications (ST does have a coilover though) http://www.rallysportdirect.com/ST-S...0888-Coilovers --and I don't know what other makes are good. Flyin' Miata springs are superb too, but its Miata only.

Ive been riding on my sportlines for 6 months at least now, pretty happy with them so far, cant say how much I like the look of the drop on 18s. For me thats as low as I would care to go, wouldn't mind a stiffer ride actually, and I daily mine.

It still crosses my mind that eventually the struts will have to be replaced and ill be faced with the dilemma of deciding to sell them and buy coilovers or buy struts. Im leaning towards bilstien B8s, havent been able to find someone running this combo, I would like to hear anyones input if youve tried this setup. Might end up trying it myself, worst comes to worst I could sell them and get swifts, I just really like the drop on these.

I havent used lower control arms with my setup but the camber wear on the rear tires is nothing to be alarmed about, ive rode my tires down to almost the wear bars, still no dramatic changes in tire wear.

For the front I run whiteline camber bolts, havent had an alignment still no excessivly odd camber wear, set my camber bolts to max negative camber too.

I would say definitely get the camber bolts and an alignment, I don't think there is anything you can adjust in stock form for the rears so I dont see how the rear tires get aligned during the alignment process. I believe you can buy inserts which allow for some adjustment using the factory arms.
