HID Conversion DIY

So before I got a chance to shoot the FRS I posted in photo/video thread, I was able to capture a step by step instruction of how to install an HID kit into the FRS.

Brand:
Alumina Xenon H11 6000k

Unplug the factory bulbs, and remove them from the harness plug.

Take the two prong connectors from the Alumina H11 bulbs and plug them into the factory harness plug.

Connect the plugs from the Alumina H11 bulbs to the Alumina S2 ballasts.

Take the remaining plugs from the Alumina H11 plugs and connect them with the remaining plugs from the Alumina S2 ballast.

Turn on your headlights to check if all your plugs are connects properly. If the bulb does not ignite, reverse the two prong connected to the harness.

Once you have checked all your connections, and everything is working, use electrical tape to secure the prongs to the harness plug.

Plug the Alumina H11 bulbs back into the factory socket.

Find the supplied zap straps

Zap strap any loose wire and lines to de-clutter your engine bay.

Mount your ballast to a secure location using either double sided tape or zap straps. The ballast was mounted to the frame using double sided tape.

They are used to reflect light a certain way if you bend them then it creates a much better cutoff for pnp HID in Halogen porjector housings.

Sorry to rant but I hate these ghetto ass kits that don't even provide the OEM connectors.

There probably aren't any kits that fit the stock connector. Does anyone know if the Scion tC and xB have the same harness connector as the FR-S? That would save a lot of trouble.
