I have implemented a biological torque wrench into me, so I had forgotten about the torque part!

Just did this today and wanted to say a quick thanks for the write-up. Went smoothly, only hiccup was getting the oil through those Motul nozzles. Not exactly a lot of room to get the container higher than the fill holes (mainly on the diff), unless I'm missing something.

46k miles and this is the first time it's been changed I'm assuming (bought used @ 30k), shifts are much smoother now.

I realized that there would be issues with the Motul bottle on the diff before I even started. I decided to do the diff first that way you can open a new bottle when it gets too hard to put more and and then just put the rest of those bottles into the trans.

Drained my tranny and diff today and noticed that the longer, magnetic bolt was on my tranny's fill hole instead of drain. Did I install it wrong last time? It still had gunk on it so doing its job, but I want to install it correctly this time. Longer magnetic bolt goes on the drain (bottom) hole of the tranny, right? Similar to the diff.

The diff will be exactly the same. The procedure will be the same for the auto, but apparently the plugs are not the same size: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...to+trans+fluid

You're going to want to use auto transmission fluid as well, not gear oil.

Just like a 70/80s Ferrari for no charge

Try going from 1st to 3rd until it warms up.

I just changed my tranny fluid this past weekend, and I only put exactly 2 liters of Motul 300. Some oil oozed out and felt it right away when I put my pinky finger in the fill hole. The car was on a level ground, and sitting on four levelled jack stands (with hockey pucks).

Would that be an issue if it's less than 2.2 liters?

Also, any suggestions what else I could visually inspect while I'm under the car?

Thanks, fellas.

@Lupayn3 I just did mine too today, I used motul 300 so the bottle indicated how much fluid was left. After I did the transmission, I ended up "using" and "about" 2.2 litres and that is with some dripping here and there.. I just eyeballed it.. lol
Not saying it's okay but just saying I wouldn't lose sleep over it
