Weight saving measures?

Since the main strength of the BRZ/FRS is really being light with great handling, reducing weight further would only improve upon the handling, braking and overall performance.

How much weight can you save by removing the spare tire /jack etc. and replacing the battery with a dry cell light Odyssey battery, removing the rear seats and using light weight 16" wheels?

50-80lbs. might as well delete the AC.
and i find it funny that this car needs a 8 speaker stereo system. remove 4 of those speakers and the wiring.

You could probably save at least 10 lbs by searching first.

Not to go off topic but OP, does it say you drive an 09 GTR and a 12 optima? Did I read that correctly? Does not compute.

Yea I agree. If you own a freaking GT-R you should somewhat already know about weigh savings!

A good quality stainless steel exhaust system could shave off 20lbs. Even more if you went full titanium and/or replaced the exhaust headers with stainless steel pieces. Lightweight wheels could easily save you 5lbs per corner.

I think I'll get it under 1100 kg. I'll remove everything inside except dash and door panels. No navi, no A/C, lightweight rims, exhaust, CF roof. 1000 kg if no roll cage.

What does not compute?
The GTR is for fun weekends; the Optima SX Turbo is a great daily driver and the FJ is a about as good as it gets for a 4 wheel drive sporting SUV.
