I can get the bolts started by hand, but it's definitely not easy the first time. Now I can take it apart and put it back together almost like stock now that the donut gasket is fully seated.

You mean for the OP/FP connection? Yeah, that'd be great. I'm gonna pressure test the system this weekend to see if I can find the leaks.
I used these (you can buy elsewhere for a bit cheaper): http://catalog.remflex.com/COLLECTOR...ket_p/8026.htm

Be very careful and don't bend the gaskets, they pretty much disintegrate if you do. They included a sample to play with so you can get a feel for it. I mention that because I did have to carefully thread the bolts through the gasket, it's really easy to damage the gasket just trying to shove the bolt through in free air (you can put the gasket between the pipes and shove the bolt through then, I guess). You can ream out the bolt hole a bit with a knife.

Edit: also, wtf do I do about the cold start? It's seriously window-shakingly loud. Do I have to go into the OFT tune and tinker with the ignition timing? 'Cause that's a little outside my bailiwick.
Yup, tune it out using RomRaider. I think somebody posted an appropriate stage 2 ROM without the cold start noise. I haven't personally done that, but a friend asked me to help kill the noise on their car, so I might be able to post up a OTS Stage 2 tune with the cold start removed.

Quick question: STI-style/replica front lip

I need to replace mine. Is Bayson R's deal on eBay the best overall price shipped to Seattle, WA? It's $72.99 with free shipping. Or is vendor on here selling it at a lower price shipped? I bought from them before and it shipped fine, but if I can get it cheaper, I most certainly will, but it's $40 shipped to Alaska (one-day shipping), so I might bite the bullet and that and have it sooner. Haven't decided yet.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks. That's what I'm starting to gauge as well. Not terrible pricing, even shipped to me directly in Alaska. Having this busted front lip is an eyesore, and I think I need the under tray engine cover replaced too.

Sucks when someone else breaks stuff, yet I'm stuck looking like an unskilled driver.

Yep. Something about the tone just makes the air feel like it's vibrating. Especially in a garage. Looking forward to UEL header back...

Can someone explain to me how to start my car, lock it, and walk away and let it warm up in the morning??? Struggling with the smart key to let me do that.

I lock it manually on the door itself (from the inside), but be careful, you WILL have to MANUALLY open it from the outside (with the tiny key inside keyfob).

That's the only way I figured to do it.
