Questions:
  • Has the status of this changed yet for MY17+ cars?
  • If not, is there a plan to address this and is there a reasonable time frame?
  • Would Jackson Racing ever be able to give the option for braided oil lines that would not kink? This is one of those items in a car I would never want to worry about when driving 10/10ths.

Thank you!

Man but i like those TRD in RED captial letters

Well , I emailed Jackson Racing, they said the updated version is coming out soon.... atleast the one will fit the 2017+ model.

If those still wont work, maybe?

I guess I can finally use my STI sound tube thing again if I swap back to stock intake.

It does not unless you don't mind the line touching the box.

Still in progress. "soon".

JR will not be offering optional lines, but it's not difficult to get your own custom line made locally.

CSG Mike: still, it simplifies if one is able to get complete package w/o having to search something separately. And if JR isn't bothered by it, then CSG might offer optional other lines for JR sold through your shop, no?

Since this is an option I may consider, I do not understand the “would not kink” statement. A hose will not kink if it is installed correct. So is the problem?

A) People are having troubles because they are installing and getting below the minimum bend radius of the hose?

B) The installation does not allow you to maintain the correct bend radius?

If it is B then I would think JR should supply the correct hose

Kinks are exclusive A), installer error. The hose should be installed in a manner which has minimum twist and maximum radius.

This is a tried and proven solution that has won multiple national championships in off-the-shelf form. An aftermarket line is not *necessary*, but some people do it for peace of mind, or to add some further customization to their engine bay.

So, I have a 2017 BRZ Series Yellow and I installed this radiator myself
I ran into an issue where the metal 90 of the hose ran into the stock air box, even when rotated. it also completely blocked off my oil fill cap...

I recommend this from Mishimoto
https://www.mishimoto.com/banjo-fitt...0an-black.html

Here are some pictures of the install

The Damage done:

After I bought the Banjo bolts and thermostatic plate from Mishimoto
much cleaner, thermostatically controlled, and clearance to actually open the air box and remove a filter.

How's the fitment of this Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler when installing on a 2017 86 that has an Edelbrock SC on it?
