Time to sell the TS!
In the U.S. the Crystal Black tS is the rarest unit of the BRZ (105 units).

The color might be rare (and pretty awesome in person) but they didn't even change the interior...

By the way, does anybody here have or know anybody with the 2018 86 in Thunder? That color has been discontinued since it was available only on '18 models.

Is that orange? If so, I do.

seriously totally underwhelming. Might as well wait until you can get secondhand tS's with 3k miles on them for $25k and buy one of those.

You are. However, my tS has folding mirrors too, as I'm certain every single 86 in North America does. Too bad it's not the power folding mirrors like Japan gets.

But those weight savings! I’d love power folding mirrors even if they add ten pounds to the car.

Looks similar to Alcantara (top of door and instrument cover)

Synthetic/fake suede material.

all the 17+ Toyota 86 is trimmed in it (the big passenger side dash/HVAC wrapped trim is granluxe, and the upper door panel trim is granluxe)

Thanks! I missed that detail in the pic somehow.

One other change that I noticed being mentioned for the Japan 2019 model was some sort of rear wheel arch fins for more stability or something. On the press release from SoA, that change is mentioned there as well. It must be pretty small because I can't see them in any images.

I read this on an Australian web site:
"The primary changes to the car, according to a translated Japanese press release, are additions to the rear wheel arches in the form of altered fins... The fins, Subaru says, will reduce the turbulence and improve aerodynamics for the air passing the rear of the car and through the arches."

Oh... fin mystery solved. You can see them in the photos of the new "test car" seen at the ring.
