The BRZ headlights do fit the FRS without any modification except for removing a small rubber cover on the headlight assembly.

I've bought used GT86 head lights from a Japanese auction houses for a couple people here. They are usually in the ~$800 range for a pair with ballasts/bulbs etc. I have a address in Japan so I can purchase them.

Walked in at my local dealership and gave them the part #s, they asked for my FRS vin, gave me the total and 4-6 week lead time, gave them CC and 10 weeks later got the call. I really taught the order got rejected since I never got a call within the 4-6 window. I monitored my CC and never got charged till I picked them up though. Maybe just luck like a few have posted on the forums.

I think as the HID-headlights are going to be a factory option for these cars, they're no longer being considered exclusive to 10-series vins.
