Yeah I never did think it was supposed to be that way but a couple of other locals told me their 6 puck behaves similarly. Then again I don't have a six puck. I got the first gear to misbehave yesterday and when trying to shift into the others straight out from 1st, the rest went it smoother and improved as I kept going through them, weird. I'll pull this out eventually and will see what's going on. I know for sure a mild clutch shouldn't be behaving like this. It certainly isn't as hot as after completing a few hot laps or drag racing, it's just city traffic and no longer than 1 hr drive.

Wouldn't a warping cause the behavior to be constant as with a brake rotor?

The friction disc can deform when it's hot and then return to the correct shape when it cools. If it's common with those clutches I'm thinking it's a design flaw.

A hot spot on the flywheel is more analogous to a warped rotor. That's permanent.

While stopped with the engine running, pick a gear and repeat engaging-disengaging while at the same time lifting the pedal a tiny bit each time. You will find the exact point at which the clutch makes contact because it won't go into gear.

If that distance changes between hot and cold conditions, something is warping.

I think then something's warped because without doing this I know my engagement point is very different when cold vs hot. I'd say about 1/2 to 3/4". So basically the clutch is crap lol, I wouldn't mind changing it if I knew that's the problem. I guess I have to find a decent shop and just check for stuff. Really appreciate your help man.

I need your help, more than before, now lol. Something's definitely not right, wanted see what my options were in case I need to replace the clutch disk, pressure plate or flywheel. I was looking at the South bend clutch but not sure if my ACT streelite FW would work with it, don't know anything preventing it but, they may work better with steel flywheels. Exedy, im a little confused, everyone says Stg 1, is that the OEM replacement clutch, as I can't find anything but the OEM, and is that good for low boost? Don't really want to spend over 700 but then I guess if I have to I'll push myself, maybe the price point of my ACT is what is giving me these issues now. I'll be taking it in to see what could be my problem and possibly replacing the parts but I didn't want to stick to ACT giving my current experience. Any input would really save this guy a lot sleep deprivation and headaches

I'd go for a drive and see where the engagement point is.. I think the pedal coming from the floor up, it should be about 3" from it or so but this is subjective and you may like it to engage closer to the floor.

I don't remember the exact numbers but I know a couple guys running blowers just fine with the stock clutch. I have zero firsthand experience with aftermarket clutches on this beast. My $0.02 - go back to stock if you can.

Someone else will chime in and tell me I'm full of shit, tho. @civicdrivr?

Hey this sounds really dumb. Jack the rear end of your car up. Check all your transmission mounts, and your drive shaft mount. Make sure they're tight. That's free
