Before you go....what was your impression of the driving feel of your FRS compared to the BMW/Euro cars you have owned?

Around Boston, BMW's are as common as dirt. Just your average mid-level account executive or pharmaceutical rep's car. At one time they made a pretty cutting edge car.... but that was long ago.

E46 M3s are not that common. Regardless of the volumes of regular BMWs on the road, the M1/3/4 models are the true enthusiast BMWs and are still representative of what BMW made their performance image on.

I like the M cars, just too cheap to want to pay the maintenance on them to keep it running perfect.

Very amusing. The guys who drive M3's are generally the sons of someone rich from oil, finance or fashion. They are driven from valet parking to valet parking to pick up dry-cleaning, gather with friends at euro-trash cafes and cruise slowly through shopping districts. They ultimately wind up wrapped around a guardrail after to much late night Stoli and nose candy. Enthusiast car, right. Like a Rolex is an enthusiast's watch.

The level of bias and stereotyping in this statement really leaves me with no proper way to respond. I hope you don't hold similar views on many other things in life.

Thank you Reverend Schnell. Your pompous, yet delicately expressed, defense of M3 douchiness has reminded me that an observation concerning unearned privilege and anti-social behavior is an attack on us all.
