Great way to start saving for a turbo kit.

Something something prius tires, something something dark side.
My opinion: I've seen multiple friends trade in an exciting car for a modern, sensible one, and get bored within 6 months, end up getting rid of it. If you think the Toyobaru is too slow, you'll not like the Prius. To me, you sound like an entry level luxury buyer if I've ever heard one. Maybe try to find a deal on Lexus IS or a good LEASE on a 320i BMW. The Cadillac ATS is by all accounts fantastic and regularly sells under sticker too, but who knows about reliability. If you want girls, Miata's your ride. Black, of course. Disclaimer: I (a) don't care about fuel economy, and (b) work at a BMW dealer. |

Just traded in my wife's 7 year old accord on Mother's Day for a prius.
We actually had made a deal on a loaded Camry, but before we signed it I asked her to try the prius and see if she liked it. She did and we ended up buying one. The Camry is nice but it's like a kitchen appliance on wheels. Boring.. Now the prius is like a pinball machine on wheels. It's slow, ugly as shit and just plain weird. But it's more fun to drive and operate than the appliance like Camry. She's enjoying it and getting 55+ mpg in the city. I hate driving the thing and would never buy one for myself.. But it's different.. Different like an ugly stepchild.. But better than some boring sedan without personality.. |

With all that extra money you'll save, you can do this to your prius:

Ban OP
But, I dont know if your BRZ is paid off or not, but you're gonna take a bath on it by trading it in. So you wont really be "saving" money just to jump into another 20K ish loan...well, not much anyway. Finally, a prius will prevent the whole "getting pulled over on dates" thing, because you won't have dates anymore. |
