Just curious, what made you decide on that ride height? I've gone back and forth between 24.75" and 25" up front with the same amount of rake. Having trouble deciding which to stick with for good though.

Lower you go you start putting more stress on rear axles. TBH I just used finger measurements to determine stuff and used some SWAG to get me there

I think they are now OEM equipment on the 2017+ 86/BRZ's
I don't think update/backdate is legal in STX.

I would like that. Study and run one course and then have a day to study the other course.

If the 2017+ MY car is legal why wouldn’t the parts from it be legal for updating 13-16 MY? All I am interested in are the under panels and 4.3 Differential.

No update or backdate is allowed. You can only use parts or accessories available for same model year.

Update/backdate is much more complicated and expensive on other chassis, I'm glad it's not allowed in Street Touring.

Shorter final drive is seen as a disadvantage of the newer cars, there's enough high speed elements on the national stage (~60 mph) that the extra mph in 2nd can be worth a tenth or more unless you're brilliant at shifting. But if you're on small lots that rarely see 55+ then the shorter FD might be a bit useful assuming you get pinched elements that don't have you traction limited on corner exit.

For those of you with the Mann rear bar, how far does it sit from your muffler?

I planned on getting the Perrin catback, but ended up with the Invidia Q300 due to availability. I have maybe 1/8" to 1/4" clearance between the bar and the muffler.

I don't think that would hurt anything, but I'm sure that will make for an annoying sound. Trimming a bit off the washers (for the bolt that goes into the bushing bracket) would let me mount the bar a bit higher and possibly double my clearance.

Anybody deal with this and/or ditch the reinforcement blocks?

Reinforcement blocks is just proper shimming to put the bar in ideal location relative to the endlinks. It's not really much to reinforce (especially since the bar is softer than OE rate).

I'll take a picture, but the way the perrin muffler comes up into the central muffler it basically Us right there, so I'm pretty sure it's far away from any contact

I have at most 1/8" between my bar and muffler, got poly exhaust hangers and haven't had any issues with it hitting.

So only had about 1mm clearance between bar and the piping to the muffler. Trimmed one side of the washer flat which let us mount the bushing bracket a little higher, giving about 9mm clearance. I think that's good, I hope.

My header came in last night, so hoping to get that in and get the car on the ground tonight. That'll give me about 2 weeks to deal with alignment and tune and getting tires mounted and whatnot before I leave for Dixie. May even get to hit the local at Bristol the week before, if work isn't looking too crazy.
