The CTSV Stock configuration

Power Steering-less set-up

You need The shorter belt and extra ribbed pulley to get enough wrap on the accessories and allow you to run without the power steering pump.

Actually the one between Alternator and Water pump. Then move the pulley included down between crank and alternator. The pulley between crank/alternator will need spaced out and a bushing made for it to fit the bolt better.

March makes a kit that is similar and comes with the water pump and alternator. It has the alternator a bit closer to the block, would this not work? Just trying to figure out if someone makes a complete kit for this already.

I'm not sure that their kit without power steering allows for a/c. I'll call them.

That might be one route. Doesn't look like you can get A/C without also buying P/S. The way they worded the parts list also makes it seem like you only get the Water Pump if you buy the full Alt-A/C-P/S kit. Ends up being Really expensive. You could get the Factory Alternator mount, with alternator, and extra pulley for less than $400. Add in the Waterpump for another $185 and still come in cheaper than their kit.

Awesome!!! I'll look into ordering those soon then.

I emailed Vorshlag with no reply, left a voice mail last week with no reply, and called today. Got a hold of them today and they said they would call back with info on my order. No call back... Small shops that are super busy can be frustrating to deal with haha. I'll most likely call tomorrow afternoon and see if I can get a hold of them again.

I know what you mean, but it'll be worth the wait...gives you time to evaluate and re-evaluate your plan!

Jason told me the hydraulics most likely wouldn't be available until sometime in the summer.

That really sucks. Wish I would have known that, wouldn't have jumped to get everything when I did. Oh well, likely will get my transmission around the same time if it keeps going as it is.

Edit: Looking through Element Tunings LS swap. Thinking about just going with CX Racing Kit. I can buy the mounts, plus headers to factory exhaust merge for the same price as Vorshlag Mounts (not near the same quality, but not the same wait time either. Makes figuring out exhaust easier as well, and keeps the sway bar without any issues or extra modifications). Really wanting to get the car finished for Import Alliance KC here in a few months. Car won't be 100%, but might still make it. Grab an FRS Aluminum Driveshaft for $500 and have it modified to fit the new trans when it comes in.

Edit: Going through my emails and came to the emails when I ordered my trans. Couple things popped up that make me laugh. "The other components on the invoice complete the system, and would ship shortly after the transmission is complete." and "Once again the transmission does take a few weeks to complete. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns." 4 months wait on Transmission so far, and parts that would ship shortly after transmission won't be released till summer. Trying to stay positive and remember that good things come to those that wait.

Did they give you an ETA on when They would send them to you?

Finally got a hold of Vorshlag. They don't know what happened or how far along the transmission is. They are going check on them and let me know, Person I talked to didn't know when they would get a response back.

Element Tuning said they are planning on offering a driveshaft solution for people running a Magnum XL with CX Mounts, so I have inquiry on turn around time for that.

I ordered the hydraulic throw out bearing that was made for the E36 ls swap... which comes with the same lines as the frs swap kit requires. So I can install the motor and trans without having to wait til summer.

From what I understand, the Master cylinder side is different because the BMW Master is retained, whereas the FRS Master is changed for a Tilton one. I have the Tilton in my cart on summit, I have a friend that can make the adapter. When Vorshlag gets back to me I am going to see if they can either 1: Send the FRS specific slave early, 2: Send the BMW one and I'll make the master side fitting, or 3: Refund that purchase
