At this point, look for a dead animal under the car somewhere and check the trunk for a dead hooker you might have forgotten.

So, took it in and discussed and they told me that the only smell that could be present is mold in the evaporators. They changed the oil, said the car is fine. They offer a service to flush the AC for 90 bucks, but they say there's no guarantee that it will resolve the issue.

I'm almost desperate to try that, but I think I'm going to install my catless headers soon first. I've read that the cats can overheat and smell. Also, while I'm changing the headers I'm going to check for any oil leakage from the cam plate area. This will rule out those two things.

Then after that, if I STILL have the smell I'm take it in and have the evap delt with to rule that out. One of these damn things HAVE to be the source!!

As I type this my hands, arms and shirt smell like I've been cooking gravel in the microwave.

Lakitu, I'm thinking that your olfactory receptors need to be rebooted.

I suggest you get a couple ammonia capsules and take a really big snort....

My brother fell off a horse once, hit his head and everything smelled like a nasty chemical for several months. Have you hit your head recently ......??

I'm running low on ideas.

How about taking out the interior air filter (you have replaced it - right?) and tape a dryer sheet on the intake side.
