You seem to be misunderstanding. That is the production version. Stop waiting, you will be disappointed.

I'm a Scion owner. I don't mind people knowing I drive a Scion and I will not be changing the Scion badges on the FR-S for Toyota... but I wouldn't be caught dead driving a car with a light up Scion logo!

Don't get me wrong: the FR-S concept is a beautiful car, but it would be $50k+ had gone into production as-is because of the design complexities.

The production FR-S looks awesome...probably one of the cleanest best designs out there. I can't wait to drive it.

Yup. Pretty sure someone will make a widebody kit that mimics it though

For the same reason that clothes don't look like runway designs. There's a difference between an artistic concept and a production version.

If you watch the behind the scenes video of the creation of the FR-S concept you can see that it's just a fiberglass shell. It's not created like a production car, getting the same shapes as the concept out of sheet metal would definitely raise the cost of manufacture. |
