Awesome work Tor,
Thank you for sharing this.

I plan to go this way soon on my GT86 to adjust the last fuelling errors.

I just wanted to let you know that there is some (few) information about ELC in the Ecutec tuning guide for Subaru DIT, see §4.2.8 page 46 in the linked doc. This seems to confirm all you said about ELC.

Very cool. Thanks for pointing it out. And interesting to see the size of the corrections that are applied stock to the FA20DIT. I usually will not apply more than +/-7% (except at low MAP like stock).

I posted this in "Update your logs" too, but I will also post here because it is relevant.
I tried the Load Compensation method and the Vgi tool does not recommend any changes at WOT for the ELC table!!!! (I did about 4 pulls, logged MAP and then converted Psi to Bar, so no errors on my part as far as I can tell).

Setup: ACE CS400 equivalent (Rogue Motorsport) with Wayne ROM v167 Default MAF for the ACE header. (LTFT is disabled at WOT) otherwise stock intake and exhaust.

Problem: The rich bulge before MAF 60 at WOT is massive, and also jagged/see-saw.

https://datazap.me/u/thornad/167-d?l...1-325&mark=268

So what to do? I'm confused because the Vgi tool did not recommend any modifications (0.00) in those cells ( rpm=2400-3200 and load=1.0 ) despite the fact that it counted enough of events {14, 22, 47} with my minimum count for correction set to 10.

*Update* - Is this because I have LTFT disabled at WOT ? What to do to get rid of the bulge then ? Enable WOT LTFT and log again?

Thank you

I don't remember clearly, how I did it - quite a while ago - but I think I went the approach of trial'n'error. Just added or substracted 2-3% and went for a test ride.

Your rich dip looks like it could be fixed with load limits, though.
Have you already tried that?

No I haven't tried that properly yet. I wasn't sure what would be best.
I tried to get the MAF scale right first, but the dip is bellow 3.0V and I understand we're not supposed to mess with it there.
I lowered load limits a bit at one point, but did not help much, maybe I need to lower it a bit more aggressively.
Anyway, thank you for taking the time, will try LL again.

Yeah it't below 3.0V but you're in open loop if you're pedal to the metal.
You can get it nailed with load limits. Smaller values to reduce the richness. Edit both tables equally.

I would only touch load compensation table when MAF_V is >= 3.0 and if it doesn't respond to load limits.
