So true...just being a car nut alone will do enough financial damage to you. I don't know how you can be around WRXs and STIs everyday without the urge to bring one home.

Oh yeah, when you see over a thousand cars a year get sold here you just think "god that looks so easy" over a thousand times you just want to buy something new all the time. When I was house shopping I couldn't find a house because of my garage requirements, my agent wanted to kill me. In the end it was actually cheaper and more logical to find a piece of land and build a home, or as the builders called it "Garage with attached house."

I had a 2002 Corvette that was supercharged that I did the work on myself before the z06, sadly the 02 was ruined in a car accident so the z06 was the replacement in the spring of 2010. Got the SpecB as a factory demo in the spring of 2009 to replace my insanely amazing college car....94 Intrepid yo!!! I can honestly say I'm waiting to see the new wrx/sti, a boosted version of the BRZ or possibly the rumored big brother to this car Toyota is about to green light pending success of this car. Toyota if you are reading this, build me a AWD two door super car with at least mid 400hp factory that can with stand some punishment and a little tweaking, aka cheap gt-r. Currently there is nothing out there I would replace my SpecB with, just love that car for everything it does for the dollar it costs, especially since it's tweaked to get rid of all the stupid factory imperfections.

Hey, at least Planet gets 5 cars, we've got people asking up and down about the upcoming Audi RS5, S6, S7, and S8 and our little dealer on the South Shore is only allocated one each. We might be able to beg our rep for more if someone is really interested and absolutely qualified, but it's just the nature of the beast. Manufacturers reward dealers that sell the most units, hence why Herb Chambers Audi got a TT RS (one of just 500) to put in its showroom and we got diddly. Hence why Manchester Subaru gets allocated 49 BRZ's and the lower-volume stores get less. When a model will be built in limited numbers they want to allocate units to the dealers that will sell them. It sucks but it's just the way it goes. Hopefully this car will be a smash hit as predicted and come this time next year we can all order them and get a positive buying experience.

I'm hoping to be one of the people to get a car before summer but if I have to pay over $30.5k OTD I can't swing it and I'll have to wait until next year, plain and simple. Also at that point the value of $30k becomes greater than the value of having such a hot car. Subaru and Toyota have done a fantastic job in building value with this car through all the positive media coverage, and allowing people to see pre-production cars across the country, but like I wouldn't pay $10 for a coffee now matter how good it was, I can't justify over $30k MSRP for one of these cars when there's so many other options out there, namely spreading $30k over 5 years to take my MR2 racing!

I agree 110% on that point on value. I CANNOT see paying into the 30's for this car. It just doesn't jive with me. You can't put a price tag on the fun factor and all that jazz, but I'm not about to jump on this car where there are plenty of alternatives for that price.

If I were 10 times richer and 2 times more brash, I'd be first in line for an RS5...Suzuka Grey with the upgraded wheels.

Not me, I'd just get three more BRZ's then. And at $75k+ for an Audi... count me out on that.

Actually $85k+ But I'd rather get one Ferrari Testarossa with a 12cyl boxer engine at that price point!

I heard $85k+ in Europe and should/could be $75k+ for N.A. Maybe you're right or maybe you're wrong, don't matter that much since if it was closer to the $85 range then there are other cars I'd consider over an RS5 imo and besides the fact I can't afford it anyways.

If you're right that would be awesome; I have a client interested in one.

We all can't be cool and work for Audi dealers

Oh and on to the topic. If I go with a BRZ, I'll go to Planet. I've bought 2 WRX's from there, my brother bought his there and the parts guy there now owns it. It's a good dealership. If I go FR-S, I'll try the local Sullivan Bros in Kingston Toyota/Scion place first before branching out.

Yeah, well I'll take your income over mine any day Kev Get the Subaru!

Corey, can you let us know when SoNE announces pricing and if you will indeed be charging market adjustment over MSRP?

Yep they were nice enough to send us SOA pricing today, not like I couldn't see that yesterday online, so just waiting for the official SNE pricing. I had been hoping for some update to the cars allocated since the company had announced they would increase production but I have a feeling it's not meant to increase numbers here but overseas where the car is still an easier sell then it is here regardless of how much we all love it.
