E85 is a "flat fee" because FI also factors in fueling limitations.

There are other points that simulate and accurate reflect additional power

There is a draft of the proposed 2015 rules floating around....

Red face Suspension Changes?

I noticed in the Chronoseries 2015 worksheet posted in the NorCal thread

http://www.chronoseries.com/classer.php?car=ft86

There were several suspension items that added points, or increased points for existing items:
camber plates and/or spherical top hats - .375 (was free)
rear lower control arm - .125 (was free)
aftermarket damper w/ aftermarket spring, or coilover suspension 2.00 (was 1.50)

My question is does getting coilovers with camber plates cost 2.375 (2.00 for coilover and .375 for plates)? I feel this might have been too many points assigned for a single mod. It costs nearly as much as say a HKS supercharger Rev 2 (2.50), which I can only imagine would give you a bigger edge on longer more powerful tracks.

As for the rear LCA, shouldn't that have similar cost to the camber bolts, i.e. free? I think most people are using them to dial out extra camber from lowering, rather than getting additional camber or track.

My last concern is the proposed 2015 rules would put me into the revised "unlimited" class by taking points for rear LCA and top hats. I can only imagine I would uncompetitive a total of 3.75 points (8" wide wheels, 245 tires, Coilovers, Catless FP, vs some of the FI cars like ImperiousRex or sw20kosh.

So if we could not inflate suspension points that would be swell.

Thanks for your consideration

The NCRC website is not 100% accurate right now.

At 3.75 points, with the proposed 2015 rules, you would still be in the Street class, which has a proposed cap of 4.0 points.

@BongMan - the NCRC site is info-purposes only right now. It's database driven so it can change in an instant. We wanted up to make sure NCRC's end of work is prep'ed and completely early rather than later. They are going thru great lengths to make the 86cup easy for everyone. Not to mention, a similar calculator has been passed around offline. Online, more people can use it and use it quickly. Like stated, paper/email registration is so 2014. But I know that works for others, not really for NorCal - too many communications between I, NCRC, and registrant(s).

If anyone would like to see it differently, for your region/86Cup per say, let me know and I'll see if I can't ask for a different region/calculator.

I noticed there are some DOT R-Comp tires missing from the list, not sure how many competitors are running R-Comps but could you add them for clarification? Or to help everyone see additional options? I list a few below along with where I believe they rank.

Toyo Proxes RR - Level 2
Hoosier R7 - Level 2
Hoosier A7 - Level 3
BFG R1-S - Level 3
Hankook Ventus Z214 C51 - Level 2
Hankook Ventus Z214 C71 - Level 3

Are non-DOT slick tires prohibited?

Also, have there been talks with any companies to offer contingency? This would be a great incentive to get more participants at events.

All in the works, and yes, the goal for 2015 is to have some contingency programs in place (although we're not talking to any racing tire companies *cough* due to nobody actually running them...)

Hey @CSG Mike, how many points would the new Moroso oil pan baffle count for or would it be a free mod seeing how it doesn't give any performance gains?

0 points. We used to have it in the rules, but it was "removed" for clarity.
