So my uncle told me a story about his college days that seems apt. In college in the 1970's in South Dakota, my uncle (who currently looks a lot like Gimli from Lord of the Rings) and his roommate came up with an 'ingenious' plan to perv on the local coeds.

My uncle and his roommate thought that if they could take the magnetron out of the microwave and turn it into a crude microwave gun which, in theory, could heat up a sun tan bottle to the point that it would explode, leak, or otherwise startle one of the women into jumping up topless.

This plan was flawed, to say the least; however, thankfully, the inherent difficulties in fashioning a working, aim-able device and the very short summers in South Dakota prevented any practical use of the device on any unsuspecting coeds (and the dangers involved in the execution of such a plan).

Now, if you build a microwave gun you are going to use it (I'm pretty sure that's a law of nature or physics or something) and without a pervy purpose the only logical use was on the small woodland creatures that would make noise and disturb sleep college folk (or had the audacity to hangout near the window in range of a microwave gun). After a few days of diligent use, the accumulation of small bird and squirrel corpse caught the attention of the RA's and dorm faculty. The possible perpetrators were few since the corpses were concentrated and a cursory investigation and inspection of the nearest rooms soon uncovered a prominently displayed (or at least readily apparent) 'device'.

When questioned as to the nature and function of what was quite obviously a microwave gun (with crude sights, a pistol grip, and trigger), my uncle and his roommate explained that this was just their "long-rage hotdog cooker". Since no such device should ever exist, they were asked to prove it. After considerable time and effort, but curiously practiced aim, a hotdog was passably heated. The explanation and execution of the impromptu demonstration saved the duo from immediate repercussions; however, they were told in no uncertain terms that if any additional creatures were found dead with no visible wounds that the consequences would be swift and severe. The device was confiscated and presumably destroyed.

My uncle is happily divorced with an adult daughter and a couple of grand kids and retired from a career as a postal carrier. He's got lots of good stories, but this one is my favorite.
