yeah I have a track day in October, and a few autox days scheduled in between so I should see how it feels then.
I read that the wing is much more noticeable in autox as the extra downforce can really help take the tight turns faster, but we shall see. I'll find out if I slide more than I did before since my new tire set up is not that much gripper than the RSRs from before.

Sounds good. Now that you mention track days and autocross, I have to ask: any issues with rubbing on the 18x9.5's? You're most likely on 255/35?

I rub very slightly on full lock with compression (fast turn or incline) in the front. I suspect it's rubbing slightly on the liners.
with the RSR on 17s I would rub a good bit on the rear on the highway, which stopped eventually when the bumper tabs got rubbed off. RSRs run wider so it was more like 265s anyway.

I eventually plan to pick up another set of tc105n for dedicated track set if I decide to keep the BRZ long term (5+ years from now) and run RE71Rs.
It just depends on my financial situation in 2-3 years as I've been setting a 911 as my goal for quite some time.

[QUOTE=spicyricecake;3214627]A little update:

1. Blacked out the interior

I’m really liking the look of the blacked out interior. Any pointers on how to do this myself? Also what type of paint and sandpaper grit did you use?

I used scotch brite pad for light scuffing, and then a primer + flat black paint from home depot. Forgot what the paint was called.
This is 2 primer coats and 5 coats of paint. Patience is key...

Got a new exhaust over the weekend - Greddy cs GTS v2.
Initial impressions are that it's a bit more mature tone (less rumbly, more bass) and slightly quieter than r400. It's helped reduce some cabin noise as well, and I can actually talk without raising my voice now.

That said, I think r400 had better tone. That's all subjective though. From aesthetics perspective, this exhaust wins by a large margin, and I can clear the verus diffuser now if I wanted to.

I have the splitter sitting in the garage that I should hopefully install this week, and I think I'm done modding the car for a good while.

I plan to keep the car for at least a year, but I'll need to decide which direction I'm going at that point. Goal has always been to get a 911 at some point, and I may be getting an M2C or a Supra (when prices drop), or even a 718 cayman before that final leap. An NA miata pick up will inevitably happen then since I won't necessarily want to track said cars. I think it's a common theme among car people to constantly ponder what cars you want, right?

I'm always very weary of turning BRZ into a dedicated track toy given how many people have issues tracking these even when they're stock.
I'll definitely be doing casual track days while I still own it, but I find that another dedicated track toy that's cheaper or more reliable might be easier on the wallet long term.

I can see that. Miata seems to always be the answer to cheap affordable track cars. I have 3 years or left before I will make the decision to make it a dedicated track toy which I am leaning towards.

Oil cooler, pads, fluid, etc. at minimum!

I've never met an 86 owner at the track who has had major issues with their car.
