2014 Scion FR-S Pricing and New Features Announced by Scion

I'm in the market of buying an FR-S and have been waiting for the official release of the 2014 changes, previously all the threads here stated it was just the upgraded radio and a $200 difference, but the link below shows that it will include the cushions. Another question is when do you think is the optimal time to snatch up a 2013 model cheapest?

Sorry, not sure why that link is blocked here, but copied the article below

"Secretly hidden away in a press release about how touchscreen audio systems will be standard in all 2014 models, Scion has officially released the pricing and new features for the 2014 Scion FR-S. An impressive 23,052 Scion FR-S have been sold starting more than a year ago in the U.S. to the end of July 2013. For the new model year, the 2014 FR-S line sees a $500 price increase, making the MSRP $24,700 for the MT and $25,455 with the $755 delivery, processing and handling fee. If you are interested in seeing what the 2013 pricing was, click here! The FR-S twin brother, the 2014 Subaru BRZ, also had its pricing announced of only a $100 increase to MSRP and two new features, click here for the BRZ details!

The 2014 Scion FR-S has two new standard features that do not change performance or exterior appearance:

2014_Scion_FRS_Knee_DriverView

Added comfort for both the driver and front passenger from new sport knee cushions that are located on the door panels and the sides of the center console
Scion Display Audio System featuring a 6.1-inch LCD touchscreen, AM/FM/CD/HD Radio™ technology, hands-free phone capability, music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology and AUX/USB port with iPod® connectivity
I foresee several 2013 #BRZFRS86 owners buying the knee pad for their current rides.

2014 Scion FR-S
Model Transmission MSRP MSRP + delivery, processing and handling fee
FR-S 6MT $24,700
$25,455

FR-S 6AT $25,800
$26,555

$755 delivery, processing and handling fee"

this is old news, the best time would be when the 14s starting arriving at dealers and the must move what 13s they have left... but you need to do ur hw now and see what dealers have the color/combo you want and are willing to work with you... the ballpark is around $1500 off msrp right now... there are a few threads on it...

My 2013 10 Series already had the Touch Screen Radio. All the Scions in the Southeast have started coming equipped with that.

Touch screens in a FR-S is a joke. The car is too jouncy. Only a small subset of FR-S users need the knee pads. The only reason to buy the 2014 FR-S IMO is the higher resale value at sale. If you are selling the car in ten years, it won't make much of a difference. If five years, then you would have to get on the order of a $2,000 discount on the 2013 to make it worth buying over the 2014. Of course, if it is on the edge of affordability for you, then go for the 2013. No sense getting into extra debt.

Is it the same radio as the 2014 unit, or the Bespoke radio upgrade for 2013 models?

6'6'' and I'd be worried that the kneepads would take up precious space. I need every centimeter.
