Hand-tightened them cause my torque wrench won't fit..

I may have exaggerated, it's not vibrating, but a bit like a warble noise when light braking, at that last second before the full stop.

I'm hoping that when you say hand tightened only that you used a wrench and then hand tightened to an unspecified torque. Good n tight.
You wouldn't just hand tighten your wheel lug nuts now would you.
If the torque wrench doesn't fit, use a crowfoot and an extension, maybe use an extremely long extension, were there is a will there is a way.
Oh and you should answer yes to above question.

Bump for updates!

How do you guys feel about your PMu pads? I wouldn't mind rebedding occasionally.

Hi everyone - thought I'd give a quick update on these pads. While I have been very happy with them on the street and track, they wore out after 3-4 track days (5 session days) and 5k street miles. For what it is worth, I consider myself an intermediate to advanced track day driver. I am hard on my brakes, but I don't abuse them.

Overall great brake pads - but I've learned that I should really separate my street and track pads. Moving forward, I'll be using stock pads for the street (maybe switch to a more aggressive pad once they run out) and swapping in CSG's WinMAX W4 pads for the track. I'll write a review about the WinMax pads once I get a chance.

I feel the same. Mostly because I don't think I'll take full advantage of semi-race pads like these. Plus I've come to realize track days are expensive, and I may want to hold off on that. I love the bite they have though.

The main thing is the squealing. I still have to re-bed them, but I could not for the life of me get them to fade. At least not until traffic started showing up.

I'll be going to Winmax W2s for my next pads. For autocross and daily driving, they are perfect.

Did a track weekend with these pads and they were just ok. Initial bite felt soft. I think I was also getting pad fade a few laps in, as I'd have to press the brake pedal very hard to get adequate response. On the plus side, they never fell completely away, despite getting hot enough to smoke a bit after sessions. I was coming from Stoptech pads which had better hot bite, but faded noticeably and eventually smeared on the rotors.

It's not an issue tracking with these once I got used to them, but I was hoping they'd be more effective. I'll probably go a different direction once these pad are done.

Oddly I love them on the street. Great cold bite - they'll quickly engage ABS with minimal effort.

I also have an issue with noise with these pads. They've been great, but I'm having an issue bedding them in.

What have you guys done to bed them in? Mostly the 60 to 30 four times with 30 seconds in between works for most pads...

My .02

I have used these for the street only for the last 2 years. I just replaced the front pads because they were just about down to the metal, but the rear pads still had 2/3 left so I'll replace them next time. I've never bedded them in, and simply used them normally. They carved so much metal off the stock rotors, there was a 1/16" lip on them, front and rear. Mine don't squeak, but they do make a scrubbing noise of rotor being sanded off with every stop. I replaced my stock rotors with Stoptech Sportstop drilled rotors from Tire Rack because grooved rotors eat the pad quicker then drilled rotors and they allow cooling airflow through the rotor in addition to braking better than stock, plain, rotors. They also look much cooler than grooved or plain rotors. I probably have about 20% more braking power than the same pads on stock rotors. I have an AT, so I won't be seeing the track anytime soon, but these work as a great street pad for me. I can live with the dust since my wheels are mostly black anyway. It's worth it to have brakes that work so much better than stock. I don't know how you people can go back to stock pads after using racing pads. There's just no comparison.
