looks like a pretty good deal. does anyone have any experience with that sort of insurance? it would drive the cost of track days up a little bit, but if i were running at a "dangerous" track, seems like it would be worth it... and i understand what you mean. i guess the way i look at it isn't so much the monetary value of the car, but more how replaceable it is. call me sentimental.

SW20's are rarer than AW11's, too. I know it wouldn't be easy to find a replacement AW11 hardtop, but just the same, if I had to repair or replace anything it wouldn't be the end of the world. I've had 7 MR2's since 2005; the only ones I would've been upset about crashing would've been the '89 Ice Blue Pearl Supercharged and the '94 Super Red II Turbo, because they're extremely rare in the U.S. What I wouldn't give to have either one of those back in my garage!!

I will have about 20k in my 91 mr2 build and it will handle like this car and have 450hp to the wheel with plenty of room to go higher. I just want to keep it street friendly for now. This is why the fr-s will be my daily. Believe me though when I say it will see its fair share of track time.

interesting the lack of emphasis on increasing power output in here as its my main hang up with the BRZ as a track toy, expecting to not be able to get much more out of the FA without forced induction

I am not worried about that, It will come very easily with all the manufactures. I think it will be just like tC wait 1 year and full mass production of power kits, intake exhausts etc. |

i just mean, as a person running a naturally aspirated boxer, im wary of how much power output can be improved regardless of part availability. id even imagine switching cam profiles to be a chore given teh direct injection fuel programming
