I don't think a set of OEM wheels that fit is really a valid comparison in this case. Sure the center caps might be there, but they didn't replace the VW badge on the car itself.

Lexus badge though, yeah, totally not my thing since it's not a Lexus anywhere.

He also said "any input?" and "tell me I'm just nuts." Don't want negative feedback? Don't post anything on the internet, especially asking for others' opinions.

The OP asked for feedback, so it's especially fair game. That said, you're on the internet where every comment is going to generate agreement and dissension at the same time. This is nothing unique to ft86club.com.

All that said...

You said it, not me! Seriously though, not my cup of tea. More power to you if that's what you want to do though. I'd just as soon debadge the entire car and go incognito and leave it up to everyone's imagination.

I like it! I wouldn't do it myself because I love my Subaru badges, but if for no other reason I like the thought of confusing the hell out of people.

My fiancé wants to buy the FR-S convertible when it comes out and get Lexus badges. I think it would look nice if it's done right.

terrible idea. why? it's not a lexus. don't false advertise. plus, on top of it, toyota would NEVER badge a car built by subaru with their lexus name.

lexus is a different territory with their vehicles.

Any input? If we think "yes," which Lexus has the proper sized badge?

do you not understand that your sc300 was made BY TOYOTA? which is why the parts were labeled TOYOTA. they aren't going to switch the dye out every time a lexus or toyota part comes through the rollers.

in europe, it's the market brand that they have introduced. scion doesn't exist, it's US ONLY based company. this is the same with lexus, however it can be found in a few other markets.

Please don't! There's already enough "rice" going around with LFA kits and such. Faking the funk ain't cool man.

You mean Scion is a NA based company, since they're in Canada as well now. Lexus is international.

At this early stage in the game people will believe its a Lexus.

Every part on the car has Subaru stamped on it. Engine, trunk, exhaust etc etc I have yet to see the word scion stamped on anything haha
