For what it's worth, I've never in my life ridden in a car that did not have rattles, unless someone specifically spent time getting rid of them. Everything from Porches, M3s, Mercedes, to Toyotas and Mazdas...every one of them rattled if they had over 15k on the clock. I consider it a maintenance item. Stiffer suspension = more likely to rattle as well.
yah iots oin the headliner near the light, and my suspension is stupid stiff
so that doesnt help lol

I haven't had the dome light apart but if it's anything like the one in my Jeep the bulb doesn't fit snug in the socket and it rattles slightly as well as the dome cover. A few drops of silicon in non-contact areas fixed it in the Jeep.

I'm curious to stick my head into the forums for BMW and MB once the 4 series and CLA are officially released to see what kind of first-year issues they're having. Should make for some nice versus threads too.

There is a TSB to do with that noise you are talking about. Take it to your dealer for the fix.

Hey

I saw your video regarding that strange noise behind the center console. I have the exact same problem. Ever found a fix? I have probably removed my air vents and radio 100 times. still no solution.

Yeah, it's starting to get to the point where I can't stand it.

Door lock rattles
Rear deck rattles (fixed this one with some WD40 in the trunk)
Stereo area rattles
Dash rattles, near driver's side air vent

I don't like driving with the stereo on, I'm a bit of an audiophile, and the speakers really don't cut it for me.

Generally I can ignore them, but when they all start rattling at the same time it's just so frustrating to hear in a car with less than 5k miles, driven rather conservatively.

My fr-a has 2,600 miles and it rattles in two places:
1) driver and passenger door switch "pads" and
2) passenger side seat belt guide

Windsheild wiper tick

Does anyone else hear a tick from the windsheild wiper control when you set the wipers on delayed setting?
