I'M BACK, BABY!!!! Well……sort of….

Just picked this up last week! 2013 WRX with around 21k miles on the clock. Feels good to have that boxer growl back! I'll post better pics eventually. Just cleaning it up for now.

Two years old and already had a rough life….It's got a scratch on the rear wing, a dent on the front scoop, and tint done by a first grader. Plus, I'm pretty sure the car wasn't washed since it rolled off the dealer until it ended up back at the dealership.

Plans on my two days off this week are a good detail (clay, polish and wax) to get the paint smooth and bring back some depth to the paint. I'm also going to remove the tint as I've never really been a huge fan of tint anyway, and the crazy amount of crap in this tint is frustrating. I would have been pretty upset if I spent money on this particular tint job.

No plans to mod, although that will probably change, but just going to enjoy her for the time being, get the scratch cleaned up, and get the dent pulled.

This was my 97 M3 before I sold her last week. THIS the the depth I'm looking for. She should be there this weekend. I've already messed with the headlights (already oxidizing) the day after I got the car and they "came back to life" nicely, so the paint should turn out killer!

Lots of reasons….the biggest were AWD, power, and size. The 86 is a fantasitic car, but it'll be awhile before I get back in one as it will have to be a third car. Just not size practical enough for me at the moment.

Also, I've been lusting after one of these since they came out. Only reason why I didn't get one before was that the 86 was more in my price range at the time. Although, as many have said before me, it will never be the handling car the 86 is. As a matter of fact, I've still yet to drive a car that handles as well as the 86.

Great job on the detail, looking clean. Why did you end up selling the e36m?

Car was too needy. Freaking killer car, but between the cost to purchase and the constant maintence it added up to about $555/month over the next two years (looking to buy a house in the next two years), so buying this was about $155 cheaper a month with NO down payment. I took the money I got for the M and threw it straight into the "house savings account." I actually tried to keep both, but we don't have the space for three cars.

Also, the interior is bigger in the WRX, and the trunk is more usable (the M3 had fixed rear seats).

Going to tackle that dent next week if I can get ahold of my "dent guy." He's the only one I will let touch my cars, but he's been hard to get ahold of lately.

if you look REALLY closely there is a small crease on the passenger side toward the back of the scoop…..it took the right light for me to see, but it's in this pic.

Nice car. I just love hatch based cars. To bad the new WRX was not made in the hatch style.
