Whoever Vinyl wraps a factory paint paint job is asking for trouble. Do u know what happens to the paint if you decide to take that wrap off? I wrapped vehicles fro 3 yrs after Art School and did custom graphics. The paint will get ruined beyond belief. After 2 summers of the sun beating down on that Vinyl, it is ruined. Don't do it, Believe me.

Cost of depreciation might be close to getting it repainted. Guess it comes out to about the same. Regardless, you do you. Should be interesting seeing these actually in person.

Hey Guys,
Here is my Custom Scion from 2013 Sema show. 0:23 is my Car.......
The color Blue I had done is called Daphine Blue almost identical to Laguna Blue or Miami Blue.

My Uncle owns a custom Body shop in LA and did a wicked paint Job on this car. 3 coats of Primer, 11 coats of Daphine Blue mixed with 2 pints of Satin White and 5 coats of Clear coat. The paint Job would cost 15,000 dollars. I paid him for the paint which came to 6599.00.

The color you see is near Identical to the Hyper Blue that is being released. The pictures do not do the car Justice, believe me !!!

I also have a 2015 Satin White Limited. I am trading it in for the new Hyper Blue. The car is NOT going up in price at all. The premium will be around 26,000, the limited, 28,000 and the Blue edition around 30,000.
I already have my order in which should be available no later than mid July. If u put 19 inch deep lip Asanti wheels wrapped with Falkens, this car will be the Sharpest thing on the street for less than 30,000. This blue wil be rare. They are only producing around 3,000 of them in the US

I get what you are saying, but many people place protective clear wrap on their new cars to prevent rock damage? Is this protective wrap different than a color changing vinyl wrap?

Guy who wrapped a few of my parts took his full car wrap off after a year and didnt even need to use any solvent to clean the car, looked like it just rolled off the factory line

lets be honest the price will maybe vary by a few hundred dollars...It will not sky rocket, if anything even less people will likely want the color so it may go down.

And besides, even if the 3000 number is true (citation definitely needed on that one), that's a HUGE number. Heck, there are only 499 *at most* of my particular car left in existence, and I really don't think it's particularly rare or valuable.

Lol at price will skyrocket comment. It's just a color change, which anyone can just have a car wrapped to these days anyway. Also keep in mind that it's 3000 plus whatever number scion produces its RS2.0 quantities at (which would be "worth" more only because at least scion would add something to their car)

I'm surprised I haven't read anything from anyone that was there. I got to see this new color in person. I'm pretty sure I was almost photobombing one of the pictures posted.

It was definitely a different color. Pictures don't really do it justice. The reason for so many poor quality pictures is because there was a raffle to get a ride along with david higgins in an S206.

I was a huge fan of the interior.
