not hard at all. just basic soldering. there may be better kits out there that have the ability to turn on with the lights. other than that the most time consuming part was just running the wires around the car.

Was just about to ask about hot days lol

My ex had a civic si and that shift knob was torture on hot days..

So how does this fare? Still 200 degrees more than ambient temp on hot summer days?

I would donate you the STI lip for the trunk, but that mess is expensive. That needs to be replicated as well. You're car is lookin' on point, my ninja.

I've been on the fence with that piece or getting one of the other trunk lips.
I don't like that I would have to drill (according to the instructions) for the STi lip.
They also don't sell it pre-painted in SSM either

WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR BRZ TODAY?

does the lens look tacky? just notice only the lens that follow the tube is red, i thought the backing was red and clear lense hmmm.

I wouldn't say the lens looks tacky, but the lights are definitely more flashy than stock or even something like Tom's.

And yea, the red follows the tube, but the lens is clear around the turn signals leaving some chrome showing that I'm not the hugest fan of.

I'm not saying I'm unhappy with the valentis, I like them a lot more than stock and I get a lot of compliments, but if I could go back id probably do the Toms lights.

I love the reverse light though.

SSM is too 'Murica, that's why. JDM don't silver, only Silvia.

I'd 3M tape it down like all my other lip spoilers I've had.

That little strip of chrome is nothing compared to the clear/chrome version. Looks sick, man!

Now that^... might be considered tacky

Maybe tacky on anything NOT SWP/Whiteout. On the white, though, it looks good.

I had the windows tinted today. 15% all around. 5% on the front windshield banner.

1) always tint your cars even if it is not that dark, protects your interior and you from cancer (yes cars get cancer too). Tint plus sunshade makes it ~infinitely cooler in the summer months. I am getting mine 35% before it starts getting warm again (bought a RWD sports car just in time for winter).

2) If you find a performance exhaust that does not drone at 3k rpm let me know.

3) First manual? When I bought this car I had not driven a manual for ~7 years. It is very forgiving and really easy to relearn on.

Idk...the '15 STI (hatchback) is starting to grow on me. Maybe once the BRZ is paid off

Tint I will eventually do. To be 100% honest I'm still enjoying the look I get from people when they realize a girl is driving But I cant see myself not tinting it in the near future.

I'm deciding between several different exhausts at the moment but I will let you know.

I've driven manual before and recently, just never as my daily. I have steep hills on my campus that are intimidating
