Hi there! Just picked up my ‘19 a week ago. Haven’t had a fun car for 3 years or so since my Skyline was stolen. I’ve been used to tooling around in crappy pickups. So having a proper handling car to enjoy on my twisty commute to work is exciting! I work at a performance shop where we specialize building Subaru’s. So of course I’m itching to dig in.

Hello,

Just picked up my brand new 2019 BRZ Sport-Tech RS this weekend and I am very thankful there's such a huge knowledge base on this forum for me to learn from.

I am an avid autocrosser but I have only ever owned automatic FWD cars so this is a huge readjustment for me. Learning stick-shift and worrying about breaking in the car at the same time is a bit stressful.

Anyways, so far I love this car's size and practicality. For a long time I was torn between the BRZ and the ND MX-5 as a track toy - having owned a 2015 Mazda6, I love Mazda's powertrain engineering however the MX-5's handling is not as precise as the BRZ which is what I needed for autocross. I'm very happy with how the BRZ handles, the Sachs dampers are firm yet compliant enough for bad city roads.

I'm not much into modding and lowering and all that so hopefully this RS package will be a good learning platform for me in the long run.

The only thing I don't like is how much the 215mm Primacy's are stretched more than my liking over those awesome 7.5" wide RS wheels. I'll be sure to upgrade to 225/45/17 for these stock wheels whenever I wear out the factory tires.

New here? Come say hi =)

What up ft86club, new here.

I have a BRZ that I bought in Dec 2018. Previously owned a couple bugeye WRX’s and a 15 WRX before the BRZ. So far my mods are Tein Flex A coilever, 17x9 SSR wheels with 245-40 BF-Goodrich tires, an OFT v2, and Skunk2 intake that I bought used from here. My next mod will probably be a set of headers and I’ll flash to stage 2.
Also if anybody knows and is willing to do some MAF Scaling for my intake via the OFT and RomRaider send me a PM we can work out some type of deal.

Whats up everyone, my name is Jeb and I am from York, Maine. I recently picked up a 2013 BRZ limited. It's manual of course and I love driving it. For meet ups or photos text me 2077039248. I will put up photos of her soon once I figure out the forum a little better. Curious what all you have for builds, excited to be apart of the chat.

On May 3, I ordered a 2019 BRZ Limited, DGM, Performance Package, STI Short Throw Shifter, & Homelink mirror. Delivery expected mid-late July.

Almost purchased a new Miata Club but fate and insane dealers stopped that. Two recent separate test rides on a left-over 2018 BRZ with PP convinced me. Only tough decision was the short throw. Previously I had a test ride on a 2017 STI with the short throw and a 2018 STI without. The 2017 STI shifted better and I since I wanted to stick with factory, the STI short throw was ordered. I have read enough reviews about how much 'better' BrandX is, but the STI version will be fine with me.

I thought about delaying the purchase until the 2020 is announced/available but I liked that 2018 BRZ that I test drove and who knows what 'improvements' will be there in the future.

So just waiting and waiting and waiting...

I have been lurking around here about a year now waiting for the right time and car to come together. D-Day plus 75 years was the happy occasion for me. 2017 Pearl Blue PP

Oh hai!

First and foremost: I am a SAAB guy.
I own a 2001 Saab 9-5 Shitty Charmander Aero that has been officially retired at 486'000km. I also own a 2002 Saab 9-5 Aero which is my daily and winter beater, it has half the mileage of the '01. I absolutely love these cars for their interior build quality, driving comfort, and their torquey engines.

I autocrossed the Shitty Charmander for 3 seasons. Last year, I went full out stupid and threw my Saab into SCCA XP classing. What a performance shit show but I had tremendous fun. High mileage and a piss ton of rust has led me to part it out (to my other Saab, because hey, reliability isn't their strong suit).

I just bought a brand new 2018 base BRZ, dark grey metallic that I got a pretty good deal for. I'll be picking it up this Thursday or Friday and I am totally stoked! This will be my summer car, primarily a cone dodger.

I'll most likely keep it bone stock (tires and wheels too) for this season before I start the simple mods: wheels, tires and driver mod.
I'm excited to get into a RWD sports car that's reliable!

I will admit that the BRZ feels incredibly slow compared to the pull of my 9-5 Aero but I'm more than okay with that.

I hope to learn and ton of stuff here, and get flak for my SAABs.

Hey all,

I bought my 2016 BRZ limited useds with about 22k miles about two months ago. I have wanted a BRZ/FR-S/86 pretty much ever since they first came out. Being my first stick car it has been an interesting experience, but it seems to be pretty forgiving for a stick shift transmission and haven't stalled it too much .

I had a 900 Turbo CV that I loved. Didn't handle like the 86, but the turbo was fun with the top down. That was a dealer car that made it to 198k and could have kept going longer if someone didn't wreck me.
