The original paper head gasket eroded and water seeped in during a heavy rain storm to the point it was running on one cylinder. I don't know how it ran, the mechanics were ever more confused. The other is the radiator clogged up because of something the mechanics put in it. They replaced it free of charge. My only regret is that its not the model that has the built in fridge.

Drag races are about drivers more than cars, and in this case the driver at least contributed to the loss. Not going to say the end result wasn't accruate, but I'm saying the race itself is suspect.

What's tough to swallow is that there are always cars you just can't catch. Even at 400whp, there are so many cars now that could still shit on you. The real key is to remember that straight lines are their play ground, corners are yours. You just never really get 3 honk'd to race through...winding corners by teenagers in Audi A6s...

As the original posted stated, the brz/86 0-60 time is much faster than that. brz/86 can beat a hellcat if you drive the hellcat slowly enough. This 8+ second 0-60 time is simply not the real performance of the car, so the insult is a fabricated one. |

Hilarious!! I compare my BRZ to a train car because they both have 4 wheels!! Previa curb weight = 4000 lbs. Previa HP = 138lbs. Is as similar to BRZ as a birdhouse or beef jerky stick!! |

I actually have more fun in the 86 now, and I'm rarely over the speed limit doing it. Hell, the 86 is more fun than my old R33 Skyline on the street, it had 500 horsies with something like 700 torques, but, the Skyline and STI were boats compared to the 86. My all time favorite car, prior to the 86, was a 1999 MX5, and just like the 86, it wouldn't pull the skin off custard, but after the required handling mods, like the 86 needs to be good, show it some twisties and BAM, good times are had. |

If you haven't driven a "slow car fast" style of car with a significant power bump, plus the same car in stock or near-stock form to where you can compare and contrast yourself, you really need to shut the hell up about other people's opinions on the matter.

The BRZ is actually a very fast car. 200 hp is no joke. Most cars are 50% heavier. So it's like having 300hp from a power to weight ratio perspective. No one calls 300hp slow.

Correct, most of the time it ruins them. I've driven 275-300hp Miatas, they're a freaking handful. |
