I think shiv next project for the ESC is a proper cold air intake

Actually are there anyone with the ESC have a modded snorkel?
I've been thinking about doing it for the longest time but never had a chance to get to it yet and not sure of the out come? Instead of just cutting most of it and leave about 2"-5" I plan on just removing the 2 resonance box thingy and patch it up?
What you guys think

I have a modified snorkel. Meh on the difference.

I don't think its going to make a difference. The stock is already a cold air intake. IMO The kit is just about perfect with the new Proced controller. Only thing left is for more boost which we know requires more battery, and a bigger ECS.

Personally I hate the stock air box. Not because it isn't efficient, but because it's so finicky and fragile. I'm on my second box due to my first one cracking and putting in the air filter without issues is like winning in slots.

While its as PITA, I never seen it as fragile. Maybe due to the ECS?

Take a look at the plastic in the box half that connects to the phantom. It's thin, malleable and it can crack. When in box form it utilizes two plastic anchors on the bottom to keep the box stable. If you hit either of these the wrong way, they break off. (Ask me how I know)

So yeah... While it will get the job done, I'm not a fan in the long run. Also the last time I removed the phantom I must have over torqued the metal band on the box. It's permanently deformed now. So it's frustrating at least for me.

Mind you, all of this is a wish list. This is not needed at all and just me vocalizing things that were said by myself and others.

I have the Skunk2 intake and I'm going to try mating it up with the ESC when I get it. It has a removable elbow, and a 3+ inch MAF adapter with air straightener. It flows a lot more air than stock. MAF comps are 1.5 to 1.8 times higher than stock. I'm probably going to have to mount the ESC crooked though, so it probably won't look as good.

Strangely enough, the ESC 1.5 OFT tunes have AVCS tables that run fine on a NA engine. I tweaked them a little to back them off some. It kept jerking too hard when I'd shift manually to the next gear. I already have my airbox, my procede controller is on it's way, and I'm already running part of the OFT ESC 1.5 tune. Now all I need is an ESC.

I also find it to be fragile. I broke off one of the three tabs that holds it down when I replaced the air filter in it. Then when I installed the ESC, I had to remove the resonator, which has one of the two remaining tabs. So my air box is hanging on for its dear life by one tab now.

It would be nice to accompany with electric generator driven by exhaust gases though, for better energy recycling. So that almost efficiency of turbo due not wasting that exhaust energy + fine/quick adjustments due electric nature. ESC just by itself seems to me doing only half the job, being closer to common SC on that account.

This is really close to being great for us. Can you take some pictures of this installed?

Edit:

The Misimoto one looks close too but again really expensive for both of these. We need you shiv, you are our only hope.
