Door scuffs on WRB paint - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I woke up this morning and found that someone decided they needed to get some of their white car paint my door. This is what I was left with. I managed to get most of it off. I planned on washing the car today anyways if rain holds off.

Any ideas on how to safely remove the rest of this off?

First off - wash it. Anything you do with a dirty car can make it worse. Second, I'm sure that will buff off easily with some compound. If you don't want to buff it yourself, take it to an auto body shop. I had something similar on my previous car, and I gave the guy something like $5-10 to buff it off. Took him about 5 minutes. I could have spent the money on compound but it wasn't worth it.

A detail shop can work too but I'm sure they'd want to charge you more for some sort of bigger package deal.

Thanks. I am planning on getting some compound later today. Looks like the weather is gonna clear up here so I can wash and take care of it today

Try some auto clay. That gets almost anything off the surface. Then I'd try a medium compound with elbow grease.

I don't think auto clay will do it but I will try that first. Probably headed out to go start this process in an hour or so.

I also wanted to kill someone when i saw it. I usually park my BRZ in an end spot and park my other car (scion xB) on the other side so this doesn't happen. I got in late last night and couldn't park my xB on the other side cause the spot was taken. wake up this morning to this. I was so mad.

like what @m.wood0213 said, try with a clay bar first. I had similar issues on my other car before. Wash it, clay it, put a layer of sealant, then hardly noticeable.

don't sweat it too much. cars are ought to get little bumps or bruises. First scratch/chip is always the hardest to take, but after that you'll know things like this is hard to avoid, totally outta your control.

Well I washed the car. Pretty cold and windy in Memphis today so it was pretty rough.

I started with auto clay after washing and I think it pulled some of it off.

I then put some compound on it and applied elbow grease.

I'm just glad i got it off. that white stood out on WRB pretty bad.

I used Meguiar's ultimate compound. I applied a lot less than i thought i would. Applied it with a microfiber cloth then wiped the excess away with a separate microfiber. then ran it through another rinse and dried the car.
