How about posting a picture of your install?
Link does not have a image of the adapter.
Curious about the amount of clearance between the sensors screwed into the ports and the oil fittings / hoses and the oil drip-lip.
Thanks

Just waiting on a shorter filter extension screw from Mocal. Either Friday or Monday. I'll post up a pic when it's all in.

Best I have for now is the manual from TRD: http://www.trdparts.jp/manual_pdf/86/MS131-18001.pdf

Here's a quick pic of the TRD plate under the Mocal thermostatic plate. Fits beautifully.

Shorter fitting

What's with needing a different attachment fitting with Mocal plate?

Way like what You've discovered. Thanks for sharing.

The filter extension screw that came with the Perrin kit is sized for the Mocal sandwich plate and the spacer. The TRD plate is taller than the Perrin spacer it replaces, so the Perrin extension screw is too short. I ended up using two filter extension screws: the one that came with the TRD plate as well as one that fits just the Mocal adapter.

Not sure if the fittings / sensor types exist...but could you put a T connection inline with the oil line going into the oil cooler to measure temp? or pressure? or both?

I used the existing galley plug for my pressure sender and it works fine.

I am installing a Prosport oil temp and pressure gauge. I am using a perrin plate and then a prosport plate everything is going on ok. When i start the car i get a small oil leak under the perrin plate. I am torquing the plate nuts to 55lbs as stated in the perrin instructions is that to much? Also i can see one of the o rings flex out of the bottom of the perrin plate. What is everyone else torquing there nuts at?

I hope that's a typo. The instructions I got called for 25ft-lbs.

I got my hands on a TRD sandwich plate for the sensors and it's just tall enough that I can use it in place of the spacer supplied with the Perrin oil cooler kit.

So, my stack will be:

Filter
Oil cooler thermostatic adapter
TRD plate

I'll post a pic up next week.

I'm looking at doing the same setup. Whats the part number on the extension bolt? Do I contact Mocal directly for the part?

I'm trying to get a list of parts I need to do this.

Thanks!

It is their standard length extension screw for an M20 filter. The part number is ES20. You can order it from www.batinc.net who is the official Mocal distributor for the US.

Most oil cooler adapter plates like my Mishimoto have taps for external sending units.
OR
As I did, oil pressure off the main oil galley and oil temp off the ECU via my "Scan Gauge". My Scan Gauge is also reading automatic tranny temp and engine water temp.

Strong work @BatStig. Just ordered the TRD plate from Japanparts. I have a DIY oil cooler kit (Setrab 13/Mocal thermostaic plate) that I havent installed yet. Will I just use the extension from the TRD plate AND the extension from the Mocal plate like you did? Did I read that right?

TIA
