CEL issues after EcuTek tune/dyno.

Background, Had my car tuned and dyno'ed with EcuTek at EFI Logics few months ago after installing catless EL headers, catted midpipe and full catback exhaust.

From the day of the tune on, the cruise control did not work. I didn't think much of it because i dont really use it and the car is pretty much a weekend car. Eventually (aka last week) I got a p0420 CEL along with a p0071 CEL. The P0420 error was easy enough to disable in ecutek and I assumed the p0071 (ambient air temperature sensor) CEL was somehow linked, since both appeared at the same time. However after re-flashing to remove the p0420 CEL the p0071 returned once I completed the drive cycles. (and cruise still doesn't work).

Is there some way the tune could cause issues with the ambient air temperature sensor? Like a threshold mismatch or something? I had no issues with CEL's before the tune (never got the P0420 either) so I'm inclined to think its something with the tune. Please help.

load the stock tune back see if you get cruise control back and no weird cel codes.

sounds like tuner loaded an incompatible rom id for your car or incompatible racerom patch

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I recently had this happen to me as well. I had the car tuned at an ecutek specific tuner, DBW Motorsports, immediately after p0461, p0462, and my p0071 came on, my cute use doesn’t work ether. Loaded stock tune back and it isn’t working, they still pop up. did the tuner damage my sensor? I didn’t even touch them.

Make sure after loading the stock tune, you clear all DTCs.
