Oh I'm definitely trying a few. The humor we have going back and forth right now will allow for "You can't spell quaratine with out URAQT" and maybe later a "Without you my life is as empty as the toilet paper shelf.
Have to make that last one mine though so I added the TP part. Although that could backfire if the TP comes back in regular stock soon. I think people have realized they don't need a year or two worth of TP for a possibility of diarrhea.

So far anything corny/silly I have said has been met with lmao, lol, and/or a bunch of laughing emoticons and I know that is a good thing.
I even made a morbid joke about her boss dying from Covid and it worked! Her humor level is 11/10!

Lmao that’s funny. Sounds like it’s going in the right direction despite not having much face to face interaction so that’s good.

so corny pickup lines are supposed to be used after you're already talking to them and they've expressed interest?

found my first problem

I was going to suggest the "candy is dandy, liquor is quicker" approach until learning that See's Candy home delivery is closed and 1 lb. boxes are selling for almost $200 online.

And forget about the "liquor" part, although my state considers it, like weed dispensaries, as "critical", it wouldn't be any fun without sharing assuming social distancing rules in effect.

Pennsylvania closed their liquor stores. So residents need to go to states like Maryland, New York, and New Jersey to get booze. Because that's better, or something.

You're right. I didn't specify if those tongs were public or private so just to be sure.

Welp, a true alcoholic will make due with beer or wine -

Our local supermarkets have a 'fresh' bread/rolls/cakes section. Tongs supplied to pick up items.. I note that people struggle to grasp (pun intended) the concept, fingers go into the rolls etc or the tongs are used then carelessly placed on the fresh food... I dread to think of the number of people who have handled the tongs!!

That's why you are supposed to wash your hands often. You can't wash the bread, but if you get anything on your hands you can wash them

In that case, I suggest that you bring your own tongs, then spray your bread with vodka before eating it -

Typically when I'm buying bread or cookies or whatever in these types of cases I usually use the "pooper scooper" method of sticking my hand in the plastic bag, pick up the items then turn the bag inside out.
