lol! Oh for real? Which kit? LOL

I feel like im overthinking it so much, but I'm just not trying to buy 6k worth of turbo for it cause so many dam problems and ive only owned my frs less than a year.

I plan on going with FBM when or if i do. next month

Mine are melted too upon inspection, so it's not a one off thing. What's immune to the heat if I want to try something else? My usage case is on the extreme side

Stick with the OEM mounts and heatshields and you will be fine.

Then protect them accordingly. Be assured that Subaru put a lot more R&D into the OEM mounts then Perrin did for those repurposed engine mounts.

I haven't heard of any OEM motor mounts failing. 320 whp still isn't really that much.

For me it is less about failure and more about keeping all the connected bits nice and tight together (motor mount, trans, diff, subframe inserts)...usually long term use and edge cases (tracking) reveal negatives before and after upgrades...but I'm not an expert so crossing fingers my mods turn out fine...don't mind "reasonable" increase in NVH in exchange...however, tightening things in some places can amplify weaknesses in other...

There will be substantial NVH and a loss of tighness when the motor mounts fail due to heat. I am just advising those that want to continue to run the Perrin mounts to properly protect them from the heat they were obviously not designed to take.

The OEM mounts for our cars appear to be re-purposed 2006 Subaru Impreza STI mounts. The ones they only used on the STI for one model year due to failures...

Add me to the list of molten mounts. Running an AVO kit. Mounts have been on the car since October, and have seen two track days. Was a bit sticky after the first track day, but after this last weekend, full on molten candle stick status.

Edit: On further inspection, it appears that the exhaust manifold gasket is leaking in that area too. That probably has a great deal to do with this.
