Did you ever get catless header on your car? I remember you said you had a baby on the way and decided not to.

No, I decided to do a complete Fujitsubo header-back system and keep 1 cat somewhere in the system to avoid smell as well as concentrate on keeping sound levels similar to stock. The best way to attain this was to get the catless dual resonated front pipe from Fujitsubo and remove 1 cat in the setup without increasing noise levels at all.

For the header, I'll be getting the catted Fujitsubo header. It should still be a good improvement over the stock header & it keeps noise levels the same.

Paired with my Authorize R, in the end I won't be loud or smell which is exactly what I want

Haha, if it were that easy I would.
However, a few reasons why I won't go that route.

1. Noise ~ I could get the Fujitsubo Catless header, however the noise would increase drastically which is not to my liking.

2. Smell ~ I don't like the idea of having 0 cats in the car when I know it will smell and annoy others which will lead me to the final point.

3. Respect ~ To other drivers & people.
- I don't want other drivers behind me to be frustrated because my car smells.
- I don't want to be that guy to ruin someones outdoor activities because my car is loud and smells.
- I don't want to be an annoyance to neighbors or other people/drivers in the city.
Basically, others shouldn't suffer because of my car.

I'm not after the biggest gains. I'm just modding because it's a hobby & I like to see how parts improve the feel and driving characteristic of the car.

Must of people dont give a fuck if your car smells or not. They only complain about cold start on early mornings, but you can fix that in your tune. The only valid point is noise, but noise in cabin like drone

Why not keep the stock front pipe and go catless headers? No smell and definately not loud with a quiet catback. Front pipe gives negligible gains.

Thanks

I personally love it. Really makes the car sound great and drone free inside the cabin while staying very quiet from the outside.

Performance wise, I don't know the #gains from the Catback & Front Pipe but what I noticed right away was better throttle response throught the revn range and a smaller torque dip.

You just need to come into it with small expectations...don't expect to be blow away with just a catback & front pipe haha.

I haven' experienced a header yet, though I hear that makes the biggest difference apart from the tune & forced induction.

Congratulations on getting the exhaust! I'm glad your enjoying it! It's honestly the quietest out there. Another quiet choice was the Blitz catback...but Fujitsubo is the best choice in my opinion haha.

I noticed, after more miles it gets a little deeper sounding, but still remains super quiet especially from the exterior of the car.

If you ever decide to get the front pipe also, rest assured the interior cabin noise remains the same and drone free. Just ever so slightly more deeper from the exterior.

I'm very interested in seeing how the Fujitsubo header will be like with the complete setup when I get it.

Oh I think it's too quiet now, I'm pretty sure mine is louder then yours cause I still have APEXI 4-2-1 Header & Super Catalyzer combo cuz I had full APEXI setup just got tired of the high way drones.

Actually I was very close to get full Fujitsubo setup last year from their test unit on cusco car but back then I wanted to stay with apexi everything. To be honest, I want to get HKS UEL now cuz it's a bit too quiet.... either that or find a way to make my intake louder.......

But modding on this car is just part of the experience.

PS: Apexi also sells a active electronic control valve now... LOL If it's not 500 for the damn thing alone I would just grab that. lmao
