Hey ppl!!! Sorry so late 2 join but like U Im freaked over the new FT-86! Currently I own a black 91 mr2 turbo with only 43k the clock! Thats my current toy. And a 2008 mazdaspeed 3 thats my daily driven toy! Both awesome vehicles! Ive always have been a toyota fan my whole life Ive driven and owned many cars like many of u! Integra, civic,STI, but mostly toyotas like celica, corolla, prizm lol, cressida, supra, and mr2 realy sparked my intrest! Toyota having a deep history of race heritage behind them and yet keepin an almost now legendary view of reliability is almost unheard of in other auto makes! True lately it feels that toyota has slacked a little on its performance side but I have a good feelin it might be comin back full force if they do thing right! LF-A is a good way to start and the ft-86 if a good way for them too keep there mojo goin after they sell out there supercars! Hasnt been much talk lately on the Matrix, corolla rally sport but If toyota played there cards right they may get a very big following in the U.S. performance wise that is! Ill be on the thread givin out my ideas hoping that toyota will be listening to our crys!!! I hope the best for this companys performance come back even if they have 2 use one there little buddie company Subaru to do so!

Hello,

I'm a newbie(to the whole car as something other then from getting to point a to point b) who's almost barely getting out of college in a year and will be looking to buy a fast exciting car to replace the one that my parents bought for me as my first car (a 2007 Toyota Yaris Sedan that barely makes it up some hills). I look forward to seeing how Toyota/Subaru handle this thing.

Noob

Hi,just wanted to properly introduce myself. I first saw a pic of this car in Modified magazine. The more I kept reading, the more I fell in love. I've owned a 2002 Celica,2004 Civic Si EP3,a 2003 S2K,and a 1997 EK hatch.
I'm definitley looking forward to buying the FT86.

Uhm Moderators, like a newbie I didn't read all of the stickies and posted an unnecessary thread in General Topics, sorry.

Hey all, been a member for a couple days now and just found the welcome thread so here I am. Currently drive a 97 gsr that I am just sick and tired of dealing with.
First I hydrolocked the engine and threw a rod through the side of the block, had to replace the block, valves, clutch, and radiator.
Then after going through 6 quarts of oil finally realized the guy who I had do the work had swapped the two hoses going to the pcv valve and had negative pressure in the head, so it was sucking all the oil in that way.
Got that fixed and somehow alarm system shorted out and actually caught on fire, it only got to the brake boost check valve and throttle/CC cables.
Next, had almost all of the bolts on the A/C pump fall out, from the ones that where still there and VERY finger loose it looks like he just started threading the bolts in and then forgot to tighten them down, so running without A/C right now (not like i exactly need it right now) because missing the bolt for the belt pulley.
And the latest thing, the glass on drivers side window fell off both sides of the track as i was rolling up the window and the track is now sticking up above the window sill or whatever you call that part.
So as you can probably guess I'm ready to just get rid of this thing and get a new car. Would like to have it now but am willing to wait till '11 if i have to for this beauty.
