I'm really wondering what Toyota has to offer in similarly priced Supra vs the RC. Better driving? I surely prefer Lexus service an I'd think twice before dropping 40+k on a Toyota Supra. I guess its just our dealerships in town that aren't all that.

i could see a hand full of people cross shop between the two. i guess the same points could be said about the old SC vs MK4. the Toyota will be smaller and more sporty while the RC will be slightly larger and more luxury.

I don't mean to bring Canadian memories into context as there are only 36 million of us or so but when the 135 horsepower 94 Celica GT-S entered showrooms, I believe they were priced in the mid 30's fully loaded. So $50,000 sounds reasonable to start in 2018.

We all have good and bad years but 1994 and 1995 were not particularly good years in Japan relating to terrorism.

I don't believe Canada ever got the Celica GT-FOUR.

Pretty sure Toyota was thinking about 1983/84 when they initiated their modern sports car projects. Fun To Drive *Again* so they say.

Forgot about old SC and Supra side by side. I'm actually very confused why Toyota/Lexus came up first with RC parts big Frankenstein and collaborating with BMW/Supra twins platform, rather than doing Supra+SC combo together like they did in the 90s. Maybe they learned something. Or maybe supra is to spawn another coupe above RC, oh wait we already have LC... See, confusing. Seems like such a waste, unless RC was deemed as absolutely immediately necessary by market demand or need to use production capacity.
Im sure they know better.

RC actually is almost bang on in sales with SC, mid teens, definitely under 20k, but its cheaper of course

True. Heard the Nissan Z's will be gone and Hyundai is going 2.0T. I wonder if Nissan will bring back the Arby's lol.

The picture of the car covered in that camo thing they do to hide the lines. The shape reminds me of the RC F a little bit.
