Toyota Axes Scion - Change Splash screen logo
Well, I hate scion now! Haha!
Is there a way to change the startup screen (splash screen) of the Scion FRS head unit on 2014+ model. I have the 2015 stock head unit. Basically I just want to remove the Scion splash screen to Toyota Offtop: What about the steering wheel, just overlay with a toyota badge ?

The thought popped into my head to try and change the splash screen too. Doesn't look like there's anything on changing the splash screen on the FR-S.

1. Print this... 2. Cut it out with scissors. Be careful with the outlines. 3. Now using your hands, tape over front of your factory Scion head unit (stereo). 4. Remove when needed. |

Here's how to change the startup image on the entune nav: Load a usb device, such as a flash drive with the image of your choice. The images file name, including the file extension, can be up to 32 characters. Name the image without spaces or strange characters. When saving the images to a USB, name the folder that the startup image is saved to “StartupImage” and name the folder that the screen off image is saved to “DisplayOffImage”. If these folder names are not used, the navigation system cannot download the images. (The folder names are case sensitive.) The images file extension is JPG or JPEG. Image files of 10MB or less can be saved. Up to 3 images can be downloaded. Plug the flash drive into your car usb port. On the entune nav system: Press the “SETUP” button Touch “General” on the “Setup” screen. Touch “Customize Startup Image” Touch “Transfer” Touch “Yes” You can also delete and switch between screens. You should now see your new startup screen flash by when the entune system is started each time. This forum is really starting to suck with the the un helpful replies, sure i can be unhelpful too at times, but those are to people with really stupid questions. |

I changed my head units logo as well. But I went to the dealer and they did something similar to what lorico said.
Do you guys assume the scion symbol magically appeared when the vehicle rolled out of the production plant? Obviously someone added it there. Therefore it CAN be changed As of late. There have been the same douche bags replying. Answering as quick as possible without the slightest bit of help. With the usual answer "have you searched yet" in hopes to receive their "thanks" |
