Rattle chasing..
Over the next few weeks I plan to chase down all the vibrations in my car from the sub..
Stereo is almost on point apart from some cosmetic stuff, but the vibrations are killing me! And only single 10in (with 2kw rms) Most of the rattles seem fairly easy, but the worst is the front windscreen/rear view mirror.. does anyone else's sound like the windscreen is going to pop out? and has anyone successfully fixed the mirror vibrating? I should ask if anyone has done any serious sound deadening at all? and have any tips for me? Pretty much the whole rear interior is going to come out and be treated some how.

A lot of the rattles I have are not generally found with normal driving (Plus i have already done a bit of sound deadening due to the exhaust/solid diff and subframe mounts) Mine are things such as: Rear Deck/child seat covers, rear side interior trim front windscreen/rear view mirror and a bunch i am not sure where they are coming from.

I have a 2013 FRS, I had rattles and groans from the trunk roof welds, used some stinger sound deadening over them and they stopped. I have my doors done too, and some over the rear wheel wells behind the rear speakers, and lastly I put some dark foam tape on the rear deck 3rd brake light where it meets the glass. Only rattle I have currently is either in the passenger door, or somewhere in the roof on that side, I haven't looked too much but it only makes noise going over speed bumps or really rough road. for reference im using a JL 10" on a 500W rms, but tuned to 400, and usually degained to 300, so long story short, you're prob going to encounter more issues than I by virtue of pushing more power and air. what sub are you pushing with 2kW?
