The WORKS 2017+ Stage 2 Turbo Kit is here!

After countless hours of development; the 2017+ WORKS stage 2 BRZ/86 Turbo kit is here! Many of you know and love our 2013-'16 kits and we are proud to announce that the kit is now available for 2017+ models. Along with the new kit, we have made a few updates to our existing 2013-’16 kits such as new ball-bearing Garrett Turbochargers and optimized intercooler hose routing.

- WORKS Team

Stage 2 FAQ:
  • Updated Air-to-liquid intercooler

  • Garrett GT28 Ball bearing turbo (upgrade options also available)

  • ~12 psi peak boost

  • Retains factory airbox and exhaust - Only the exhaust overpipe removed

  • Minimally invasive and easy to install! - No need to drill into your oil pan or cut any brackets

  • Chassis balance retained! - While most turbo and supercharger kits hang off of the front of the engine with large intercoolers; the WORKS kit diverts 80% of the added weight behind the towers.

  • Quick boost response - Short intercooler piping, a very efficient intercooler, and a 30 row radiator provide cool, efficient airflow to the engine.

@WORKS will this new kit for 17+ work on 13-16 models? And since it's not carb compliant yet, if it becomes carb compliant, are we able to still get the tune for the carb model separately?

In all of our testing, the current intercooler size has been proven very effective - especially since we have now updated our waterline routing. However; if there is enough interest; we could potentially offer larger IC options.

All of the updates made to this kit have also been made to our 13-16 kits. The 17+ kit is exclusive to 17+ models as there have been changes to the intake manifold, airbox, and quite a few other components. The 13-16 CARB kit already carries compliance!

Great! We are currently looking for an individual to go through the CARB exemption process with us. If you have a low milage '17+ that's relatively stock mechanically and would be willing to allow a day for testing; let us know!

I've got a 17 BRZ that's mostly stock, just the Jackson Dual rad/oil cooler. Just over 5k miles. Would there be any benefits to this arrangement (e.g. discounts/installation)? I've been considering the different CARB FI options and could be interested.

Does the 13-16 kits look similar to the 17 kit or still the same style? And I'm guessing the list in the FAQ is what changed in the 13-16 kit?

Yes, we would be willing to work our a discounted rate on the kit and installation if you're interested in going through the certification process with us! Your BRZ sounds like the perfect candidate for our kit. Send us an email at mail@worksmotorsports.com with any questions!

The FAQ in this post lists a few key benefits to the WORKS kit in general. The '13-'16 kits utilize a lot of the same components, however a few key factors (such as intercooler shape and mounting) have been redesigned for the new vehicles. You can find more info on the '13 to '16 kits here! https://store.worksmotorsports.com/W..._p/142.212.htm

Since the release of the 2017+ kits, we have shipped quite a few out.

We would love for those of you who have installed the kit to chime in and send us your impressions!

Sent an e-mail regarding a test car for CARB certification if you haven't found one yet!
