2019 BRZ nav in a 2013 FRS
Is it a plug and play affair to do this or would I need something else? I really like that unit and Im just checking to see if anybody did this mod and what issue's came with it?

Not plug and play. You will need to find your wire diagram for the 2013 and modify to the 2018+ navigation radio. See below for the 2018+ radio pinout and components you will need.
